We visited on a Saturday evening — the place was busy but we were seated right away. Shannon was our waitress and she was fantastic! She offered great suggestions, was friendly, attentive, and made the experience enjoyable despite a few kitchen mishaps.
We ordered a cocktail and a couple beers. The draft beers were very fairly priced at $4.50 and tasted great. For food, we got the Smokn’ Jeff Burger and the DeWitt Burger.
The Smokn’ Jeff Burger looked great but came with goat cheese instead of the pepper jack we requested. We’re not fans of goat cheese, but aside from that mix-up, the patty itself had a really nice flavor thanks to the bourbon glaze.
The DeWitt Burger unfortunately lacked flavor and felt dry. It was also missing the pico de gallo listed on the menu — we later learned it was left off because we asked for no onion, which was a bit disappointing.
The fries were the biggest letdown — they were rock-hard, dry, and hollow inside, almost like they’d been over-fried several times. No seasoning or flavor at all.
We mentioned the issues to Shannon, who was extremely kind and immediately offered to comp our burger and even brought out a dessert to make up for it. We tried the brownie sundae, which was warm, rich, and delicious — definitely the highlight of the meal!
Shannon explained that there was a temp chef in the kitchen that night and that the food is normally much better. We appreciated her honesty and professionalism.
We’ll likely come back to give it another try in the future and will update this review then. Service was superb, and we’re hopeful our next visit will match that level of quality across the board.

Berger bros is a regular spot for us and for many in our area! Great food done well. Casual setting. Long time professional servers - shout out to the bartender. Outdoor patio is very nice and often will have live music. We are slowly making our way through the menu- we repeat often for the tuna, chicken sandwich, smash burger, grouper. We can sub a side salad for fries the cheesecake is amazing treat and large enough to share! If you are in the area- stop in.

Such a cute little place with great food, an extensive beer menu, and great service (thanks, Shannon). My wedge salad was HUGE, and shrimp were as big as my hand! I'll definitely go back.

I ordered the Fungi burger, and it was easily the best burger I've had in Illinois. Our server, Paige, was amazing, and the food was insanely quick, only took 5 minutes for the burger and fries that came with it. The patty was incredible, not at all dry. The atnosphere is great, awesome decorations, and they have an outdoor seating area.
I had the fungi lunch burger. This was the best burger I’ve had in a long time. The fries and chips are excellent as well. The service was friendly and super fast. I highly recommend this place.

Food was decent but came out wrong, little things like not getting a drink menu, not having the main cocktail of the season, not charging for items then adding them last second, waiting long for little things even when not busy, waitress not being around made the experience unsatisfying.

I come in at least once a month for dinner and occasionally for lunch (get the Cuban sandwich for lunch, it's not on the dinner menu)... not only does the food bring me always bring us back but Troy behind the bar is the best ever. His drinks are top notch (get an Old Fashion!!) and his service is unmatched!!! The food is constantly outstanding and the rotating steaks are amazing. Do yourself a favor and stop in!!!
