Place is a joke ! I guess under new ownership. Ordered fried mushrooms and got like 7 mushrooms for $7. Place is now a RIP OFF! Do not go here you will regret the trash they put out. Mushrooms tasted awful had to spit it out!
Look at other reviews. New owners are skimping on everything to save money let’s show them it’s not ok. Bann steamers ASAP!!!!

Ordered a barley soup 12 oz and received probably 8oz. Or less than that. Upset, I called the restaurant and they said that’s how it comes as they “leave room for the crackers”. But this is ridiculous! If I wanted 8oz of soup which is there smaller size I would have ordered that! What a joke!!!!

Ordered the brisket sandwich which came with fries.
Fries were basic.. sandwich had coleslaw and onion rings on it,a d that was the majority of the sandwich.
Coleslaw was flavorless. Onion rings overcooked. The brisket itself wasn't particularly tender and had so much black pepper on it, that it was all I could really taste.
Threw almost all of it away and said goodbye to $16.
Never again. I went here as a child myself and for 2 decades came back here. They have changed and not for the good either. The owner is rude, food tastlees and very expensive for what you get. They don't even support the local teams anymore. Yet the interior was nice, the changes overall were not. Shame. Very disappointed in how they changed.
Big ass tray of fries. Good value. Gyro is quality. Water isn't bottled or served, but from a cooler like I'm playing 6th grade baseball.

I have been a long time consumer of Tony steamers. I do wish you would go back to the original fries because after it changed hands, you changed the fries. Just not the same..

New management has ruined this place. I used to love their gyros. And now it's just a greasy disgusting mess I eventually threw away.

Let me tell you something !!! Places like this is hard to find in the northwest suburbs cause you only find them more towards the city . This place is my first time coming and my review of this place is a 10 out of 10 the cheeseburger was a true city burger the grilled onions and just everything it was awesome the fries are also great !!! We also had cheese curds and let me say this place makes them great crunchy and cheesy !!! The chilly also has a great flavor i will be returning to this gem !!! Yes they do have beer (alcohol beverages) ! I will be coming back !!!!

Have been going to Tony Steamers for years and was never disappointed in the taste quality of the food until now that it is under new management. They remodeled the place, and it looks new, however, there are no longer any sport league pictures on the wall that spoke of community. The new brand of hot tamales is bland and tasteless. The tuna fish salad is dry and tasteless and may be gone as they no longer carry any sub sandwhiches. I ordered a double hamburger today, and it was so greasy that the wrapper was soaked, and so was the bun that it literally fell apart. The hot dog special went up in price, which still tastes good but was smashed into the bun when wrapped, and there seemed to be a mix of old hard fries mixed in with fresh ones. So basically not as good as it used to be. Also, they should take Tony's name off the establishment as it is no longer Tony's .

Very nice inside. I miss the old fries. They were the best. These fries were tasteless. I ate two and threw them out. No one else at the table wanted them. They did not like them either.

The new ownership of this restaurant has turned the food quality down the fries. I threw out because they were hard as a rock way overcooked.
Hotdog is now wrapped in brown paper and it doesn’t look appealing, but the hotdog still taste. OK I’ve been eating there now for about 20 years. The old owner knew how to take care of their customers

We moved here right before the management/ownership changed. It was okay before. Under the new ownership, we love it and have been stopping here a ton! You can tell they’re trying to make it a good spot to stop and hangout. I usually get the pulled pork sandwich and/or chili, while my spouse sticks with the reliable two hot dogs.
Interested to see where they keep taking this staple!
