Nice family atmosphere and food was absolutely delicious. The country fried steak was gigantic and delicious. The fish was also delicious. Very reasonably priced. We are glad we stopped by. The owners and staff are very nice people.

I came in last Sunday and had a taco omelette, been thinking about this place all week. I am planning on going back very soon. The waitress was friendly and attentive, coffee was always full, food cooked to perfection. Keep doing what you’re doing. I absolutely recommend eating here !!!

I just started working in Nokomis not too long ago, and I've been eating here when i forget my lunch. Really great people, love the food as well. Nails the small town dinner experience. Highly recommend stopping by for you lunch break. 5 stars is not enough!

Awarded this establishment 5 stars not because it is one of the swankiest places one could ever visit nor because they have an unusual menu. They get our vote because they offer an authentic US dining experience, especially welcome if like us you are visiting from overseas. Their prices are reasonable and the fantastic service from the two ladies who run it made breakfast a pleasurable experience. The food is perfectly cooked quickly to order, I loved their French toast and bacon with maple syrup and my husband enjoyed the various bigger breakfast plates. The decor and seating is old but spotlessly clean. The lady who takes the orders has the most amazing memory. After our first visit she could remember exactly what we ordered and the way we liked our food cooked, no notes. She was very attentive and friendly without being intrusive and refills of coffee and hot water were plentiful. What we really loved though was to listen to the banter between her and the cook (we think they may have been sisters?) and the regular customers. A much nicer experience than the clinical hotel breakfast if you want to see what an old fashioned well run diner is like an immerse yourself in the local culture. We went back every day for the remainder of our stay in the city and if we are ever in St Louis again we will definitely be using it.
