This restaurant makes the best skillets hands down. I pay a distance fee just to get the melty goodness into my belly via doordash. I'm sure their other dishes are equally delicious, but I don't order the other items as you can't mess with perfection!

To the owner....I've never seen such rudeness in all my life. Amanda (waitress) was snapping at the other waitresses, bossing them around and if that wasnt enough, she was fiddling with her hair and buttering toast, while wiping on her jean... DISTUSTING. I'm looking for a new breakfast spot...she is a horrible waitress..will tell all my freinds...

I felt bad cheating on my normal breakfast place. But this was probably the best place I could have done it. It's homey and you can tell they have regulars that have been coming for decades, and decades to come
I have always had a great experience ordering from this restaurant via DoorDash. It is our favorite breakfast spot to order from.
Unfortunately they have recently removed the option to select certain things within the app, like your salad dressing choice or which soup of the day you would like. The customer also cannot add their choice as a message, as the app now states: “* The store has chosen not to accept special requests. Contact them directly with questions about their menus.” Per this message, I have always called to let them know and each associate is kind and helpful.
Unfortunately today was a let down. Amanda did not provide a positive experience whatsoever. Their frustration with apparent phone issues and a busy restaurant were taken out on me in order to rush me through my choices. Amanda was very short with me, and was clearly overwhelmed and having a hard time. They told me I need to handle the selection process through DoorDash, which is different than their restaurant instructions within the app, as provided above.
My recommendation is to allow the customer to make selections within the DoorDash app so that a workaround such as this is not required. If that is not possible, the restaurant has the option to suspend their DoorDash participation entirely, or perhaps just limit DoorDash participation during their most busy in-restaurant hours.
Their food is good, so we hope for an improvement with the staff’s patience and DoorDash participation.

This place used to be good for breakfast but they have a new waitress thst is aweful she never brought us coffee asked if we wanted fruit to go i said yes then she brought to the table on a plate. It easnt busy she just doesnt seem to care. I ordered food to go so i picked it upwent home it was awful and i tipped her even though i picked up. Never going back one bad waitress can cost the rest alot of money shes definately not worth that.

I'm telling you. Their Biscuits and gravy are by far my favorite from Busy Bee. I've tried so many other places in and around mchenry, and some are fine. But I love how Creamy and almost buttery these are. I get them every single time I go.
My husband loves that he can get lunch food while I stoll get my breakfast.
The skillets ate amazing and so is the chicken salad crescent (which is his temporary favorite)
