This is a Polish grocery store and delicatessen, located in Wood Dale.Just off Irving Park Road, it is easy to find.We went there to order Polish sausage, both smoked and fresh, for Christmas dinner. We also picked up pierogi, with three flavors: sauerkraut, cheese, and potato with cheese.Everything is fresh and tasty!Prices are in line with other stores.This will be a regular stop in the future.
My favorite sandwich, made to order on a fresh baked Kaiser roll. Delicious soups, potato pancakes and full deli and some baked goods.Great, friendly service from the staff. Familiar faces each time we’ve visited.
Helens has the BEST homemade fresh Polish sausage I have ever eaten! Their homemade pierogis are also awesome. I used to make them myself but theirs are as good as mine. I live in Woodstock now so it takes me over an hour to drive there but I’ve been going there for 40 years & it’s definitely worth the drive!
