The establishment itself could really use a remodel and refresh. It's kind of dark and dingy but the food is always very delicious. This is one of few places in the suburbs we've found the golden egg sauce as well. Service has never really been good or bad, it's just the usual hibachi environment. WARNING: if you use a Groupon, you've gotta buy it at least 24 hours in advance & gratuity will be added. There's also a charge for using a card. We usually bring cash and enjoy a date night out, as it's very local to us.

Waited 25 minutes to be seated (no one else came in and they don't like to start hibachi unless table is semi full) and food was wayyyy overpriced. Restroom has broken faucets in the bathroom, outdated everything, smaller portions compared to others, and they're charging fancy high end restaurant prices. Then they tack on a other 3% for using a credit card... No thank you! Those prices should have it all built in. Myself and one kids meal cost over $80 (tip and CC fee not included yet)
Absolutely love this place! Everyone is so nice and accommodating. The best part is the craftsmanship of the rolls the chefs really know what they're doing. My wife and I usually go on the all you eat days because it's just so darn good.

My mother is a very difficult woman to be out with. Shes at the age where every place I take her out to she will cause a scene. Food was wonderful service was great. My mother is just a terrible costumer. Apologies.

This review is sold based on sushi/ maki order. Definitely do not recommend. Poor quality, small portions, overpriced. Order 3 types of maki (6piec each) plus edamame $57!. I would mind the price if the food was good however Philadelphia roll was with cool bland salmon, garden veggie cream cheese , tiny bit of avocado & lettuce $14.00 it’s a ripoff! The only maki that we enjoyed was spicy scallop but again $16 for thin 6 pieces. Perhaps the grill is good as we sow quite few tables taken.

Reading the reviews I was a bit reluctant to eat here but we were invited for a birthday celebration so we hoped for the best. We actually were quite surprised. The food was very good, soup, salad, dessert included. The staff was friendly, service was good & the cook show was fun. Not a fancy restaurant & the cook area & seating around it was small but the food is why we go to any restaurant & it was good.

We sooooo wanted this to be close to our old Kampai. Salad and soup was lame. Shrimp and steak tasted okay. But the chef cooked everything so fast our food was piled on our too small of a plate. I ordered an extra egg sauce for my filet and it was the first thing he cooked so it sat on my plate. How goofy was that!? We won’t be back.
This is a great place. Has been in business for many yrs. Reasonably priced good value for money course meals. Variety of foods ?.
