I went in to get a pie, it was available, and the cashier boxed it up for me immediately. She was very nice and greeted me when I came in. If she reflects the rest of the staff, I would absolutely go in there to have a meal! The lobby area was clean and the pies all looked great. The case was full of a variety of pies.

Let me start with the positives, the service was great! Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, the food was mediocre. The chicken avocado sandwich, while not disgusting, was extremely bland. It lacked flavor to the point that it desperately needed ketchup. The chicken-fried steak was just okay. The beef seemed seasoned only with salt, and maybe a touch of pepper, if there was any at all, but not much else. I’ve had much worse in comparison, this one was passable, just nothing special.

We love eating here. I would give more stars but I went with my dad last night Tuesday evening and I ordered 2 pieces of pie to go. One slice had the whole half top of pie missing...it was like a half of a half for $5.95. I was shocked that it was even put in container and bagged. I also had a side of biscuit and gravy with my egg plate. The biscuit was like a rock and not enough gravy to make it soft and I didn't say anything. After I saw the pie I was very disappointed. I have a photo but can't post.

I come here whenever I’m traveling to Chicago and pick up slices of pie for everyone in my family, which makes me very popular. Love the effortlessly nostalgic ambiance, the courteous and quick staff, and the delicious pies (in particular, the Peanut Butter Cup!). Their panini and chicken strips were always my favorite meals here, as well.

Went for dessert and wasn't disappointed. Got a slice of the peanut butter pie and a slice of carrot cake and both were Delicious!!! I'll definitely be going back!
