We had the best late lunch at Public House! Stephanie took SUCH good care of us! She had a beautiful smile for us every time she came to our table with yet more yummy food and fun info about the history of the jailhouse. Both the brussel sprouts and Cesar chicken salad were amazing and their potato soup is outstanding. If you're looking for charm, Woodstock square is the place to go, and, if you're looking for a great meal and a happy staff to serve it to you the The Public House should be on your list of places to eat, drink and be merry! Would definitely recommend to family and friends! TY all!

Just had lunch at Public House and it was fantastic. Soups are made fresh and from scratch. My sandwich was great and my husband had an awesome pear and prosciutto pizza. Definitely going to come back for dinner one night. Staff is awesome. Nice to have a great restaurant in Woodstock. Thank you Brian.

Been going here since they originally opened. Drinks and food were always spot on. Prices were always on the high side. But when the service and food is quality and spot on we don't mind paying a little more.Last night was a disappointment.First time we have been back since the long long long remolde.Fire cracker shrimp very very small. Over cooked or waiting for someone to deliver it while sitting under the heat lamp.Shrimp tacos. Small and cold.Fish fry. Not all you can eat for 24.00 dollars.Coleslaw warm and gross.Fish was dry and cold.I asked for more but was told it's not all you can eat ate.Valentines day dinner was a disappointment.The past years it's been spot on. Food was always hot and delicious and the portions were plentiful.Not sure what happened after the remodeling.But definitely wasn't the same..
