Coffee was terrible, seating was utterly miserable, staff was untrained but very nice, breakfast sandwiches were meh, croissants were on point…. Just not a cafe, neither is the bookstore but they have great coffee.
2/28/25-Nice cozy place, nicely decorated FRENCH style. I had the Bacon, Egg & Cheese Croissant at lunch time, which was oversized and huge, an actual half inch thick by 3-inch-wide egg patty, about, the length of the probably 8-inch-long sandwich, it was super filling and tasty. Amanda was terribly busy but exceptionally efficient, friendly, and spot on with my order. On the way out I took a Cherry fruit turnover and brownie ends, once tried at home, they were delicious. Huge menu for brunch, lunch, dinner, and dessert, I will be back!!!
Can't say enough about our experience here. The food was absolutely top notch and the staff were exceptionally polite and knowledgeable about the treats. It is now a must stop whenever we are in woodstock!
Wow! Stepping into this French bakery and café feels like slipping into a quiet corner of Paris. The sugar-dusted beignets were total perfection. The French hot chocolate was like sipping a cup of indulgence meets pure comfort. We dined in as the soft music playing in the cafe invites you in to enjoy a moment with friends or family.
Went in to get a sandwich Saturday morning during the farmers market and ordered a bacon, egg and cheese.
I really hope the disappointing sandwich was due to packaging it up as a to go order but the image in the menu versus what we got was borderline false advertising.
The sandwich, while large, was literally just a solid brick of egg with a small speckling of 8 tiny sprinkle sized pieces of what we thought might be the bacon on the sandwich. There was so little bacon or nonexistent bacon and cheese that it felt like we were just eating cubes of bland egg on a flattened croissant with each bite.
I understand prices of raw ingredients only have been going up, but the proportions and quality were not there to support the sandwich costing $18.50 and feeling like I was robbed. I’ve quite literally had better tasting manufactured sandwiches at hotel breakfasts while traveling.
My suggestion/feedback would be make to go order sandwiches as representative of the menu photos as possible and more equally balance out the ingredients, or keep the bacon as whole strips on top of the cheese and egg. I’d rather have a smaller sandwich what was better balanced with better ratio of ingredients that just a large slab of egg.
The front counter girl working was nice and I wish this business success.
The decor and atmosphere was lovely, we had quick and friendly service. The food was delicious. We plan on coming back again :)
The owner of this place is very rude. Also the quality of the cakes is not good and I can not believe the manner in which I was spoken to! If you want good quality and even better customer service I suggest the other place down the street. Please change how you interact with your customers.
This place really stinks, I don’t like my eggs drippy bruh seriously, my girlfriend recommend this place to me and let’s just say I’m single and ready to mingle.
Wanted some fresh pastries for my nephews birthday party. Only to realize that these pastries were cold and soggy. Very disappointing.
Overpriced. Jewel-Osco quality pastries. DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS STORE.

Quality is terrible. Pastries taste like they’re either frozen or premade. Would not recommend eating here. Walmart has better quality pastries.
Cute little Cafe in the square! The Paris feel is real!!
Very nice and quaint little bistro. Patries are very fresh and the coffee is some of the best I've had anywhere. The eclaire with the white chocolate, you can tell is very fresh, and dare I say, better than Jewel Osco which has had the better eclaires I can find. Owner was who took care of us and he is a delight. Interior is very stylized and very pleasent. Will definitely be coming back when in the area for a bite and a coffee! (:
I wish I could give this place 0 stars. We went in the day before to ask if they could make a 9-inch heart shaped cake and write happy birthday to our friend. When we went to get it today, he came out with this (pictured below — the cake was 5 inches). I expressed that was not what I wanted and he got angry and told me to not return to the shop ever again. I am very shocked and upset with how I was treated especially because he was the one that said yes to the requests we had made the day prior. Everything would have been okay if he had said they could not make something like this when we asked. Instead, he himself agreed and this cake looks like something that was made at home, it lacks the professional details that you would normally be able to find at a bakery. He also made us pay full price and was not apologetic in the slightest when I expressed my concern.
A great spot to grab a quick treat! My little one loves their macarons. Haven’t gotten anything we haven’t loved from there! The staff are always very kind and helpful.
