Food and service was great. Our food came so fast. The broccoli cheddar soup was amazing. This is an old school diner at its best!

The food here is fantastic. The service is great. Really feels like a small town diner. To top it all off the pricing is very fair.

For the money your spending, your better off going anywhere else. Small portions of poor quality food ⚠️

Waited for over an hour for our food. Our server kept ignoring us. My husband had to stop him and ask about our food. He had no explanation, told us a few minutes later it was on its way out. Ten minutes later we gave up. We were charged $6.42 for two coffees we couldn’t get refills on or to go cups. The server we had also claimed to be the manager and said he had no control over our food order😳. There were no apologies, only poor service and poor manners. It should be noted that I drove from Muncie to Alexandria about once a month to eat there. No more. We ended up at Anderson Grill-good food and service there!
I’ve always enjoyed breakfast here but never again. We were seated. Waited over an hour for our food. Our server ignored us. My husband had to stop him to ask about our food. He was completely unapologetic, claimed to be the manager and that there was nothing he could do. Charged us $6.24 for coffees we couldn’t get refills on or to go cups. Still hungry…

My wife and I loved our breakfast! The food here was absolutely amazing and the highlight of our visit—the quality and flavor were easily five-star, and our order was prepared exactly as requested.
However, the overall experience was mixed due to the facility and front-of-house staff. The building is noticeably outdated and in need of general maintenance, and it was particularly frustrating that the restroom stalls were all out of order (a sign that looked quite old). Our waitress was unfriendly and never smiled, which negatively impacted the meal.
The saving grace was the busboy team! They were incredibly friendly, warm, and attentive, constantly checking on us and making sure our table was clear. Their excellent service really helped balance out the other issues.
We would definitely go back for the amazing food, but we hope the management addresses the maintenance and ensures all service staff meet the high standard set by their busboys.
