Maybe mark that you are closed so I don’t drive all the way over here when it says you are open.

Best biscuits and gravy I've had in a long time, homemade bread was delicious. The pb&j i got for the ride home 🤤 I fully recommend dinning in.. lady was extremely nice and got two soups to go for later

Their toffee oatmeal cookies (or something like that) are to die for! The soups are all prepared fresh, and when I got the vegetable soup one day, it was made with beef brisket! The homemade biscuits and homemade gravy with lots of sausage is the best! And the cinnamon rolls! Served warm, NOTHING better. I live near Chesterfield. If I lived in Alex, I'd be there every day! Yum!

Place is packed, at one point it completely filled up and more people tried to come in and couldn't. Building has about max capacity for about 9-12 people in the diner area. It feels very claustrophobic.

The cups come in very small mini glasses that hold maybe a cup, two cups of liquid? Once ice is in there, you get exactly one big gulp of whatever drink you ordered before they need to refill it. (It never got refilled)

There is exactly one person doing everything. Serving, cooking, cleaning. While that is impressive and this place is operational, it needs serious help. Maybe we got here at a bad time, on a bad day, things happen. There is a help wanted sign outside. It sort of explained the issues today.

But it would have been nice to know my Italian wrap would be coming out mostly cold. Not to mention the bacon my mother received was so baked, hard and crunchy, I think . And just now, as I write this, the main woman asked a group of people to move their group to another table so another group could walk in and sit down.

Not a big deal, but it definitely reduces from a stellar experience.
Nice and peaceful though. Alex Police like to hang around here. Unfortunately they had to wait about an hour for their food like us. They're free to take breaks, but seems silly to entrap law enforcement with struggling service.

She also forgot the chips. Most of their ingredients were out of stock. Potatoes, juice, baked goods, it was just unfortunate.

Tasty food that came out quickly. My son loved the oatmeal, and my husband an I enjoyed our biscuits and gravy.

Freshly made & delicious! Best-kept secret in Central Indiana. It's worth a trip to little Alexandria to taste your way through the menu.

I nornally don't write reviews at all, but I felt that the breakfast I had this morning needed one. I went to the Sunshine and Cinnamon Cafe in Alexandria this morning on a recommendation of a co-worker about their biscuits and gravy and I have to say, I was super impressed. Got the biscuits and gravy with egg and sausage patty and a cinnamon roll for dessert. It was all killer. Highly recommend if you're looking for good breakfast to make the trip up to Alexandria. They're baked goods are also killer. They have my favorite lemon cupcakes. 10 out of 10.
