We were headed home from the UP and my husband just happened to find this gem. So glad we stopped! My 18 month old was laser focused on the baby cakes 😂💕 my non-vegan stepson ate ALL of his food and even finished my daughter’s. So jealous Angola has this place. Wish we lived closer!!!
I had no complaints about this place. The food was excellent, and the service was outstanding. I could've gone here just for the baked goods.
The food is always excellent and service is with a smile. We look forward to making the trip up to Angola and always come home with baked goodies. I just wish it was closer! 💚🌱
I had gotten DoorDash and everything is so cute. The protein bowl was awesoooome coming from someone who wasn’t much of a fan of tofu. Mushroom coffee? It sounds strange but it’s so good. Also, the curious George shake is delicious. ☺️🥰🤤
Staff is super friendly! I not had anything there I haven’t liked but I do have my favorites. 😊
My coworker knows I am gluten free and picked up a cookie for me - best cookie I've had in 3 years (minimum because that's how long I've been GF). amazing and I'll be going myself
I’ve decided to start getting healthier and was recommended The Rooted Vegan by a coworker. I’ve never tried a vegan dish before so I was a little worried I wouldn’t like it and figured I’d give it a try just to say I did. I was wrong. I was SO wrong. The food was DELICIOUS. I’m not kidding when I say I felt like the mouse from that Pixar movie when he tried human food for the first time. I got the protein bowl with brown rice, tofu, sautéed bell peppers topped with walnuts, avocado, and I believe sesame seeds. It was amazing. I was the only one there during a slow point in their day (close to closing) so I got to chat with the owners. They are so nice. I felt beyond welcomed to sit and have my (AMAZING) lunch in a nice calm environment. And they don’t have just veggies on their menu. Desserts, ice cream, and smoothies, ALL vegan. I got the peanut butter pie to go and just finished it before writing this review. It was also amazing. If you’re looking for something healthier I would seriously recommend them. I will absolutely be going back! I can’t wait to try some other things on their menu during my weight loss journey! 🫶🏻
The place was adorable and the menu large and varied. Bowls, breakfast wraps, pastry and ice cream. We stopped in twice on one trip to Fort Wayne. The food was delicious and the portion sizes generous. Staff was helpful and friendly. Will stop again next trip to Fort Wayne.
Went out for a field trip and ordered a carrot cake and it was delicious. I wasn't expecting to super flavorful especially the frosting. I tried the yogurt bowl it was to die for. Chef kisses

What a gem in downtown Angola! I'm not vegan, but wanted to try their avocado toast and smoothies. All fantastic! And the vegan egg on the avocado toast was splendid. We got the Impossible buscuits and gravy as well and it tasted just like normal biscuits and gravy, and I had a lemon drop energy bite that was delish. We also sampled the ice cream and it was amazing. They also have breakfast burritos, sandwiches, salads, and tons of desserts. I am so glad we have something like this in our community. We will definitely be back!

So excited to find this gem in an area that offers limited healthy food choices. The ingredients are fresh, and the combinations are simply delightful, proving that vegan food can be enjoyable and fulfilling. Staff is incredibly friendly. Will stop-in anytime I’m in town!

This place is great, awesome vegan selection and desserts. I got the (Bob) big ol burrito! It was fabulous. We drive from Elkhart to Angola to have their food. I wish there was a place like this here. Awesome job and thank you for everything you do.

Fair warning... If you can't have dairy like me, good luck holding yourself back with the baked goods. I got the protein bowl and 6-7 of the baked goods to go. Then I turned to my daughter and asked if she wanted anything. All of that was just for me!!! I don't know of many places that offer food I can eat, so I get a little excited when places can accommodate my dietary restrictions. Now I have desserts to last me a while :) Protein bowl is good. I just don't use all of the dressing that comes with it since I like light dressing. There are nuts, but you can ask them to skip that if you can't have them.
Dietary restrictions: My throat swells up if I eat pistachios, cashews, shellfish, or shrimp. I get severe chest pain from dairy, peanuts, and tomatoes.

Hi, we heard this place is good and only 30 minutes away, we would love to visit, if you ever extend your hours or do weekend hours! We only can make it after 5 pm weekdays and have orchestra in defiance on Thursday evenings. Hopefully will be able to make it on a day off or something sometime!!!
Sincerely,
Two hungry vegans
