We looked for a place to eat at the other end of town. Most were national chain type restaurants. The wait to be seated was horrendous. We went to the Town Tavern and got seated immediately. We try to honor local places anyway. We will be back.

Last time I was there will likely be one of the last times I'll go, at least for a good long while. My order and my wife's order was improperly and lazily made, I could write the list of what was wrong, but it'd be a long list.Advice: never get the hot ham and cheese, for 8.50 it is a complete scam. Two pieces of deli ham and some basic cheese spread on a cheap hamburger bun. That thing shouldn't be over 2.00.

Unfriendly reception when we first walked in. (Not our server) We had a new server (2nd day) who tried her best and issues were not all with her, some with the kitchen. She should have had someone making sure she had help if needed. Ordered full order of mushrooms, received half. Soup came out barely warm. We placed our order (table of 4) right as 2 new tables entered, (Tables of 4 and 2). Our food came out after both of these tables. Overall food was sub-par. I realized that this was a local establishment but receiving a frosty welcome as new customers was should have been a sign. Sorry but, one and done,Parking: Small parking lot. Only one available spot when we arrived.

My husband and I ordered fish dinners for carry out. Town Tavern is one of our favorite local restaurants so it was a little disappointing when our food didn’t live up to our expectations. Both of our fish was very cold, and my husband’s mashed potatoes were put directly mixed in with the fish and tartar leaving a mess inside the container. My baked beans were cold (I’m not sure if they were supposed to be that way I’ve never had them cold), and the sour cream that came with my potato was expired and curdled. Once agajn we’ve never had a bad experience with the food besides today, but just disappointing when you spend money on a meal and it’s not great.
