From the fried green tomatoes to half chicken and catfish entrées everything was delicious!! And don’t forget the bourbon bread pudding, it’s the owner’s (Tammy) mother’s recipe and it’s sooo good!

We came across this restaurant while on a trip to Cincinnati and we were not disappointed! Fast and friendly service, very clean and the food was wonderful! It’s real food! There were four of us and we all got different meals. We shared the jalapeno cornbread as a starter. I ordered the adult grilled cheese. It comes with the perfect amount of tomato soup to dip your sandwich and have some left, and peanut Cole slaw was really good. My nephew got the Little Smokie sandwich with potato salad. My brother in law had the meatloaf (4 big slices) with 3 sides included. He said they were all delicious, Mac and cheese, baked beans and mashed potatoes. My husband ordered the 1/2 smoked chicken with a side salad, peanut cole slaw and Mac and cheese. We all shared bites of our food with each other, and we all agreed the meatloaf was the winner, but there were no losers either!! Everything was so delicious! We also shared a huge piece of apple walnut cheesecake! And the sweet tea was the best we have ever had at any restaurant! We are three hours away, but can’t wait to make another visit. Such a great hidden gem!

We visited Hankering Southern Kitchen this Saturday evening while we were nearby at the Creation Museum and had a great experience. We started with their delicious signature Fried Green Tomatoes and their homemade (but really everything they serve is homemade) buttermilk cheddar and garlic muffins. I had their smoked ribs that fell off the bone. My wife had their smoked meatloaf, and my daughter had their adult grilled cheese sandwich. All the sides were fabulous, too. The service was friendly and attentive. We’ll be back; you can count on it!

We wanted to try some place new. We picked here. We weren't dissappointed. Everything was a WOW moment. The sweet tea was the best I ever had. The baked beans were so amazing. The Ribs were meaty and flavorful with the house sauce putting them over the top. The mashed potatoes reminded me of my childhood. The collard grenns were perfect. My wife got the smoked meatloaf, which she enjoyed tremendously. There was so much food for such a reasonable price. We will be back, and I cannot wait to try other things on the menu.
