Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant- Avon

We loved the experience until we got to the area where you can buy takeout wine. The blonde lady behind the counter was loud and obnoxious. She was a high pressure salesman who was a cross between an auctioneer and a used car salesman. It took away from the classiness of the restaurant. I have a membership so I will definitely return. For the food and the lovely waitress we had. But I will steer clear of her.

Per usual, food was excellent. Service was fantastic. We also did a wine tasting and our server was very knowledgeable.

We had a 4:30 PM reservation on July 4, 2025. We do not live in Avon so we allowed extra driving time and arrived shortly after 4:00 PM. Upon explaining that to the hostess, she graciously seated us. After waiting a good 10 minutes, if not more, we noticed that a table seated after us had their drinks and bread, and we had not even been greeted by a server. Just as I was about to go to the reception area to ask if there was a server for our table, a server approached us and said she had just been told that our table had been seated. We felt the service was somewhat slow given that it was not yet a busy time. Upon being seated we noticed a container which appeared to be a cleaning agent, along with rags or napkins on the table directly across from us. We kept thinking a server would notice it and move it; however, that did not happen so I finally asked our server if she would move it and mention it to a manager. Our server did move the bottle and said she told a manager. We expected a manager might at least approach us about it, however, none did. We were not looking for anything free from the restaurant. The server took our order and asked if we would like some pretzel bread--yes please. She said she would be right back with some--our bread was finally served about 2 minutes before our meals were brought to our table. With all that said--the food was outstanding! I rarely order pork chops because it is hard to find good ones in a restaurant; these were the best I have had in years. Although the vegetables were a bit overcooked, they along with the mashed potatoes were great. My friend had fish, and it was excellent as well. Loved the ambience and light fixtures! Again, the food was outstanding. We topped it off with a Strawberry Popper--excellent!

I decided to take my wife out for her birthday and made reservations. We arrived 10 minutes early and were seated immediately. It took our server over 10 minutes to come to our table to greet us. We ordered drinks and began looking over the menu. We received our pretzel bread, which was very good and then we ordered our meal along with two samples of wine. Our meal was delivered and we were asked if we wanted more bread and I told the sever yes. After that, we never received our samples or bread and felt that we were forgotten. We paid alot of money for this experience, which was not a positive one. The food was very good, but the service for a restaurant of this caliber was poor.

We had 430 reservations. We were running a bit late but were immediately sat upon arrival. Our server was pleasant and promptly brought out the pretzel bread and a gluten free roll as I requested. She brought me a gluten free menu as well which was great. She was sat with 2 other tables and at this point I knew that our service was going to be very slow. She eventually made it back to us and we ordered our meals. I ordered from the gluten free menu, my friend ordered the exact same thing chicken piccata. When our meals arrived I had pasta with mine. She gladly expedited it for me which was appreciated. Overall the service was not great but decent. Food was delicious, but the service was not as expected. I don't have her name, she didn't give us one and I didn't see her name tag. Consistency is why I never shy away from eating Cooper's Hawk. The food and service are always on point.

Our waitress Jessica was amazing! She made everything wonderful unlike the last time we were there on Father's day. The food was amazing as was the wine.

Fantastic wine, appetizers, and food. Our server Alicia is incredible! Noise level is a bit high, but well worth the price. We will be back, as regulars, soon.

What a wonderful wine tasting and meal! Michelle got us off to a great start with a fun wine tasting complete with the truffle of the month which is wonderful. Dottie took care of us in the dining room. She is so kind and helpful. We enjoyed our favorites including the lettuce wraps. All of our favorite managers stopped by which was a bonus! Thank you Cooper's Hawk staff!

The food was fine but the service could have been better. The bread for the table did not arrive until the main course was served. We barely had time with the appetizers before the next course was on the table. The rest of the meals were fine though.

Flat bread appetizer, lobster crab bisque, blue cheese crusted steak medallions. All were very well prepared and hot upon arrival, steak would melt in your mouth , very very tender. Spectacular taste and service.

Our waiter was top notch and very cordial and helpful...food was hot, fast and very delicious, thanks for the great experience and also seating us in our requested booth we like since it has plenty of table space !

Alicia is a rockstar! So engaging, funny and grasps her clients interest. She makes you feel so involved and laughter makes the experience better. She is a true gem in the service industry!

Every aspect of the dining experience was five stars☆☆☆☆☆! Additionally, our server Glenn made great meal and beverage recommendations. He was knowledgeable, attentive, and very professional.

We have eating there twice both times gotten the same waitress, she was really slow she had 3 tables, and it wasn't cause she was helping other tables she just would disappear then come out when our drinks are gone. First time I was like I won't give up on it with one bad experience so we tried it again and disappointed $200 bill later.

Amazing all the way around. Our server (laura h)was amazing. Food was top notch and the atmosphere was amazing!!! We will be back for sure
