Went there today on one of the warmer days of the early spring and expected there to be a line at the window and the drive thru like there always used to be. But there was nobody there just after 7pm, that should have been a sign it’s just not that good anymore.New ownership has made this once awesome ice cream spot meh. Wife ordered an “Oreo” frost and there were just a couple broken pieces of knock off Oreos on top. I ordered the Reese’s. Both had very little toppings on top and were quite disappointing. They used to fill those things top to bottom but now it’s just ice cream with a little toppings on top. Not even the ice cream is that good anymore. We used to make the drive for frost bite ice cream but it’s lost the quality, service, and small town /old school charm. Not likely to go back.

I had to wait at the speaker for quite some time before being waited on, even though there was one person. Not a huge deal- I figured maybe somebody was alone working. The older woman spoke very rudely and short on the speaker. “IS THAT ALL?!” every time I’d order something. You can tell she must’ve had a bad day, but if you’re acting like that, you have no place in customer service. For some reason, she handed me our things and was super rude then too. It made me mad because we’ve been there a couple times and it’s always been pleasant. This lady needs replaced or taught some manners. No reason for it.Edit to add** the owner claims there is no older woman. No, not geriatric old- I’m saying older, middle aged short woman. It was definitely recent- a couple hours ago. And the thing is, she wasn’t even there alone. She had at least one young man working with her who took our money for payment (cashier).

I have been going here since I was little but the prices have gone up too much. Their barbeque sandwiches are amazing. It just is too expensive and the wait for your food is too long even if you're the only one in line. I am updating my review. What's up with the grouchy/hateful lady who takes your order/gives you your food? She's terrible.

This used to be THE place in Avon for ice cream. Always a place for youngsters to get their first job and learn responsibility. Lately the staff seems to be middle aged m/older ne’er do wells with no social skills or customer service. No friendly greetings and they just shove the food at you and expect you to be on your way.Even the ice cream which used to be the best in Avon is not very good. Glad there are more options in Avon now.

Been here 3 times in the last year or so. Two times was treated extremely rudely by the drive thru staff. The other time the service was just okay. Not good, not bad. Got their food for the first time today and that combo was not worth $10. The tenderloin was dry, skimpy on the sauce. I asked for mayo and got ketchup. The fries were nothing much. The soda was flat. The meal tasted worse than my old high school cafeteria food. The shake was not good quality and served half melted. I’d rather go to Dairy Queen even tho I really like to find good local businesses. This is not the place. Would not recommend.

It’s sad to have watched just how quickly Frost Bite has declined. Mike, one of the new owners is extremely rude, unprofessional and untrustworthy. He allows food to be dropped on the floor and then served, allows his staff to be rude to customers, lacks the ability to show empathy when there is an issue and generally doesn’t care. Frost Bite is absolutely disgusting. Old melted ice cream on every table/chair, overflowing trash cans, active birds nests in nearly every ceiling light with bird poo droppings all over, dirty windows, sticky ordering window surface and menus that are so damaged it’s nearly impossible to see what’s available to order. Customer perception means everything to a business. He charges for water, .75 for a slice of cheese and nearly $1 for a dipping sauce. These things should be built in to the price. They have not a clue what they are doing and it shows. The customer service is terrible and not friendly. I don’t see Frost Bite being open for much longer. If the Health Department doesn’t shut them down then they will have ran off all of their customers. I’m waiting to see which happens first. Two of my teenaged family members worked there, myself and family encouraged them to seek other employment which they have. Mike short changes the payroll checks to his staff which caused us to have to calculate their checks each pay period and HE TAKES THE TIPS! If you’re considering tipping, DON’T! OR be sure to tip with cash. The staff will either not receive the credit card tips or they will only get a few dollars and he will keep the rest! I’m disappointed and saddened. Darleen, the manager, show her some grace if you decide to visit. She’s got to be overwhelmed with the lack of support she receives from ownership. I’m my opinion, she truly does try hard to keep things moving. I have sat on the thought of leaving this review for a couple of months but decided to leave one because our community deserves to know. Do better Frost Bite. This review is based on my personal observations and opinions.

The day myself and grandkids went the lady was cordial but that's it. The vanilla shake I had was descent, the kids ordered the dots. We couldn't sit outside because area was dirty. Overflowing trash cans, old melted ice cream on tables, ground ..an attraction for all the bees. So we won't try that place again and I can't recommend the place.

The ice cream is the only good thing keeping this from a 1 star rating. The fries are awful, no salt and soggy. The “cheese fries” I ordered came as a just a normal order of fries with a cup of cheese on the side that was a clump NOT LIQUID (cheese cost an additional .75). I also ordered chicken tenders and I got 3 tiny little pieces for $7… along with this I had to pay an additional .40 for ONE prepackaged little ranch cup. No complaints about the ice cream and it is most definitely the only thing I would get again. Overall bad experience.
