Older woman was very disrespectful. I’m guessing her and her daughter works here. They’re cursing very loud. They’re serving patties sitting in a bowl instead of dropping them fresh. The place is very dirty. Does not change gloves which cause cross contamination. Got mad because I accidentally through my receipt away. Very rude environment. Please stay away from this place.

I ordered on the app for pickup, when I went through the drive thru (on my lunch break, so I was in a hurry), I was told by a rude woman that I had to come inside to pick up my order. When I walked in (and nearly tripped on the sidewalk going in because the concrete is uneven leading to the door), my order was sitting on the front counter. One of the 4 people just standing there doing nothing couldn’t walk 4 feet and bring it to the drive thru window? Every single person I saw “working” was literally just standing there watching me. Very disappointing service. Do better stake n Shake. And you should definitely not be asking for tips. You literally did as little as possible.

I'm a former employee and I don't recommend this location. Food is often prepared in ways that compromise quality (burgers are grilled ahead of time and kept in pans, sometimes with water added to prevent drying.) The shake machine isn't cleaned as often as it should be. The general manager (Andrea Jones- the one with the pink car) is unpleasant to both work with and be served by.

Steak n Shake cannot figure out an identity... Order on tablets is fine, but ask for a tip when you have to get your own food and bus your table? Also, they have switched to a qr code to get a soda... Scan receipt to fill drink and you get one more refill... Absolute insanity from SnS corporate. Just keeps putting nails in the coffin. Staff were very nice and friendly, but they are understaffed as always with corporate just punishing their workers and customers and wondering why everyone now prefers Freddie's?
I eat at steak n shake in Franklin Indiana Beech Grove and they cooked 🍳 the food fresh to order without any attitude. But not Avon, management is lazy and has per-cooked burgers 🙄 food was discussing in Avon Indiana

apparently you need to tip when you order using a kiosk and get the food yourself? we didn’t put a tip because were familiar with how steak n shake is now —biggest mistake ever apparently. not only were all the tables and booths dirty (with a smell??) but a family came in, ate and left in the time we were waiting for our order- when we got our shakes they were in sticky styrofoam cups with visible pink stuff on them?? and when we got our food sides and sauces were missing. other people seemed to not have a wait? i understand tipping IF WE WERE WAITED ON but am i gonna tip when im the one ringing up the order and bringing it to my table and bussing??? No. the only positive part was when they played clumsy by fergie😐
