My Mom normally loves your restaurant, so I took her for Mother's Day at your Batesville location. Didn't know it was family style buffet ONLY until we get there, but went ahead because we've enjoyed the food on previous occasions. The ham was lukewarm and resembled the ham you would have on a hot ham and cheese sandwich in elementary school, the turkey tasted like somebody put a fancy sauce on thick turkey sliced lunch meat, and every single side we had, had a twang of lemon... though none of the sides we had should have had lemon in it. My Mom, God love her, wasn't saying a word, but you could see disappointment written on her face, which was completely different than the expression she gave me when I told her where we were originally going. if you're going to change the menu for one special day for a family style dinner, at least make sure the quality is better than that when you would get at a Golden Corral. The only bright side of this experience is that my mother will be getting a second Mother's Day, as I am taking her out again next Sunday to make up for this disappointing meal.
The Shift Batesille over promised, overbooked and terribly under delivered for this Easter event. We love The Shift for a casual lunch but they were way out of their capabilities. They were desperately understaffed in the kitchen and in the dining room. In the course of 2 hours to complete we saw at least three tables leave in frustration. We were seated at our reserved time but it took over 40 minutes to have the meal brought to our table. Salads were brought with the entree instead of a 1st course. Basic drinks were provided but refills were never offered. The sides were generous but the proteins were barely enough for 2 people at a sitting of 5. Promised refills never came. Had they, they would have been consumed with cold sides. The tenderloin was overcooked and dry, the ham was more fat than meat.Sides were decent but I expect they hoped you would fill up on those and not the proteins. The strawberry shortcake was only by definition a short cake, a yellow cake severed with a few fresh strawberries not what is normally expected as strawberry shortcake amd the brownie was a sad brown flavorless triangle. At this point I don't know if we will go back for lunch but I know we will not visit their restaurant for any future events of this type. $28/per person was a rip-off for what was provided.
We walked out after 20 minutes of no service. Had reservations and the restaurant wasn’t busy. I’m not sure I’ll ever go back.
Called in a pickup order. I asked for the cilantro serrano sauce on the side, They added it anyway, so I didn't eat my Pulled Chicken Steet Tacos. I asked for all the Fried Green Tomatoes to be on the side, and I received ZERO PESTO & ZERO BRUESCETTA !!! For $15.00 there were only 5 small heavily breaded tomatoes. The Asian Slaw has no flavor. And the Bacon Jam Burger is a total waste. I am a Trained French culinary Chef with a Pastry degree, a Plant-based degree, and an AOS. Adam needs to extremely up his game. I will not waste my money again. What a crappy Valentine's Day!!! I would have rather had an Arby's Roast Beef.
Cold room, thus cold food and cold coffee. Family style meal served in cheap paper bowls, that I'm sure did not help the food quality, or the looks. I was told they could not/would not microwave my plate of cold food. Very sad salad, a large portion for one, very sad portion for five, brought to the table on a dinner plate without salad tongs. Long wait for food although the restaurant did not appear crowded. No other choices of food for gluten intolerant people, or those with other food issues, left two of our group without food, only drinks. Drain flies on food and in my face the whole time certainly did not help the atmosphere. My sister went to the restroom and no toilet paper, thank God she had some tissue paper in her pocket.
My sister and I are not from the area, I drove an hour and a half, she an hour, one way to make it easier on our oldest brother who lives near by. Your menu and ratings looked wonderful, and recommended by other family members, so we thought things would/should have been much better than they where.
To add insult to injury, my indigestion was so bad afterwards, lasting till, almost midnight that night.
Don't get me wrong, I don't mind spending two to three hundred or more for a good meal and service, and I understand not every thing is going to be perfect, but this so called Thanksgiving meal left nothing to be thankful for.
Oh, one thing maybe, the waitress was sweet.
P.s. I don't usually do these reviews, but all but my brother thought the meal was awful.
Hopefully, improvements will come from this review.

Great service and amazing food! All the staff are very welcoming and our waitress Allie did a fantastic job! We enjoyed the Veggie Melt sandwich and special of the day which was a yummy steak. We do not normally visit restaurants at golf clubs but this one is great and we will be back!
Vegetarian options: Bavarian pretzel, salads, veggie melt sandwich and more. Their mac'n'cheese is also great!

Scheduled a business meeting here today! Phenomenal service and excellent food. Thanks for getting us in and out so quickly Kailey!
We have dined at the Shift several times and we have always liked our dishes. Had the fried green tomato appetizer the other night and it was outstanding. Beautiful presentation and so tasty with the brushetta topping and pesto base. The fish and chips dinner is large enough for two people to share. Another great dining experience!
The servers were attentive and paid attention to our dietary preferences. They noticed when we were paying attention to the far TV and offered to change the channel of the near TV for us! The food was prepared well, correctly, and quickly!

Wrong appetizer was delivered. Then correct appetizer arrived at the same time as the meal. Ordered sandwich without onion and it had onion. Ordered burger with mayo on side and fries. No mayo and no fries arrived. During this period we ran out of drinks. Not the experience you go out for. Waitress seemed stressed and did apologize and discounted the bill. We will go back again but not for a while.
First time here but won't be the last. from the burgers to the chicken to the street tacos our table ordered - everything was very very good. Drink service was quick and waitress was friendly. We enjoyed our dinner here.
Everything was great, except for my husband's steak. It was more like a prepackaged quick cut from the grocery store. But all other entres, sides and appetizers were great! We will be back.
Thai chili salmon was delicious. Service was great. Very nice set up. Had a great dinner experience.

The drinks were good. But the bartender brought a beer over when my husband already had one, then charged us for it. It sat on the table and got warm while he drank the first beer brought to him just 2 minutes before. The pretzel was ok but nothing special about it. We choose to eat someplace else since we're charged for warm beer that wasn't ordered and appetizer that was just ok.
