Batesville is a nice little (German?) town right off of I74. The Sherman Inn was clean and comfortable, owned by a sweet German man. He appreciated that we called directly instead of using Expedia and granted us the same rate. Water pressure was good (wait for the hot) and my husband liked the tall bathroom sink. Would definitely return!
Quirky, 173 year old Inn. No elevators, no morning breakfast, no stainless steel, no modern wallpaper. We loved our room with the 16' ceilings. Obviously there was a massive renovation to make the rooms this good. Park on the street, it's quiet. We stayed 8 days, loved it. Will do it again.

It is located in downtown (which is very German looking) rather than near the highway, but well worth the extra drive. We will remember this place to stay at it again.
