I had an amazing experience at Captain D’s in Bedford! I ordered the Deluxe Seafood Platter, and it was absolutely delicious. The fish was crispy and perfectly cooked, the shrimp were flavorful, and the sides were fresh and tasty. Everything was hot and made just right—definitely a seafood lover’s dream!
What really made my visit stand out was the fantastic customer service. The lady at the register was incredibly friendly and welcoming. She greeted me with a warm smile, took my order quickly, and made sure I had everything I needed. It’s rare to find such genuine hospitality, and it made my visit even better.
If you’re in Bedford and craving great seafood with top-notch service, I highly recommend stopping by Captain D’s. I’ll definitely be back!

The last time I stopped for takeout, the person taking the order could not understand that I wanted two orders of shrimp! I just left. Today, I ordered two giant fish sandwiches. There was very little dressing on the sandwiches and the buns couldn't get any drier. This is my last trip here.

The okra is the best anywhere slaw yum. Frie n day atmosphere and great service.

Awful service. We didn't get our extra piece of fish the we ordered to be placed on our giant fish sandwiches. We told them about it. And was told they were sorry and would have them put down in the fryer because they were never cooked. While waiting our sandwiches were going cold. So we ate them. Had to go and ask about out extra pieces were apologize to again for not bringing them out. We feed them to our dog as they were handed to use as we were leaving. There were only 2 other patrons in the restaurant. Not enough staff apparently to handle drive thru and lobby.

Food is sometimes good sometimes bad. Sometimes it tastes like they haven't changed the cooking oil in a while. Service is not the best as most of the time the workers are talking and joking around. Nothing wrong with having fun at work but when you have customers and one of your workers who is supposed to be taking orders is outside smoking and the other workers are in the back of the store joking and laughing it's not very good Service.
Captain D’s over Long John Silvers all day, everyday. If you’re in Bedford, IN and want a quick fix for your fish cravings, this is the spot.
Parking: Lots of parking spaces near the building.

I use to like the food, but definitely Today (Sunday) has more people than use to. It takes long to take our order. 1 person at kitchen and 1 at cashier. Also I asked a baked potato and received literally just a potato cuted at the middle with nothing inside(with nothing filling it, no butter, cheese, nothing inside ). The last 2 times that we had dinner there was not good. The meal missed things.

Hadn't had it in long time. It used to be good. But unfortunately just like everything else, has gone down hill tremendously. I guess they need that 15$ more than I do. Just go to LJS if you like to eat this type of junk food. They're better than this place, but not by much.

The person who took my order was friendly. I ordered a 2 piece fish meal. I was handed my cup and told that they would serve my food at my table.
The food took a little longer than expected. A few customers before me, were missing items from their order. The young lady who was serving blamed the kitchen staff for missing items. Working in the restaurant industry for almost 9 years, it would be the serving staff to check the orders. Exceptions would be items made incorrectly.
My food was hot and fresh. The fish seemed more like fish sticks than actual fish filets.
The lobby felt a little dated, but was sufficient to dine in.
Being from out of town, I would probably choose another restaurant to dine at. I know that Bedford has some better restaurants to choose from.
Parking: Plenty of parking for this location.

Person taking our order seemed puzzled when I asked what food was available grilled. Also, when we asked what came with the clams, she didn't seem to know how to answer. She finally stepped aside and asked the young man behind the counter if he'd take our order. He did a nice job Grilled lemon pepper tilapia had way to much pepper! Portion of fish on my husband's fish and fries seemed small.
