El Mariachi Mexican Restaurant Beech Grove

The food was pretty good, service was decent but slower than most places. The staff was friendly. It was not overly busy when we went so it seemed like it took a lot longer than normal for us to get things. The chips seemed old. The salsa was decent.

Food is just okay, we mostly order here out of convenience because typically it's easy to pick up here. I don't know what's happened, but lately that's changed. They don't even start your order until you're there waiting at the stated pickup time and act like you're impatient for just standing there waiting. Food is usually fine at best and apparently so is the rest of the restaurant now. Disappointing. Used to be able to walk in at the pickup time, pay, take my food and leave. Also they specifically confirmed that we ordered queso then didn't include it.

I've been twice now, and it's been great both times! The choriqueso is 100%

This use to be a favorite spot. I’m not sure what’s going on but who wants to visit a restaurant and be rushed to pay your bill because a waitress or waiter is leaving before you even finish your drink/meal/visit? I explained to the waitress I wasn’t finished yet, and that I will pay when done. She insisted she’s leaving soon and wants payment. Very unprofessional. I’ve never been to ANY other Mexican restaurant in the city who interrupts your time and visit to REQUEST payment be made BEFORE you’ve finished.

It's not good Mexican food, it's mediocre at best.

Not busy when we went lots of available seating. Waitress was nice. Food was decent portions and good. Loved the strawberry daiquiri.

Stopped by for a drink and appetizers with a few friends. Staff was friendly and service was good. We had the margaritas and chori-queso dip. Recommend for a quick dinner as there were many locals stopping in.
