Celebrated Valentines day a day early with some friends and had a wonderful day. Food was so good. I had the chicken salad and it was delish! We all did the Petite Tea for $22 you get a salad or soup, sandwich, tea and a scone and 3 other sweet treats all presented on a tower. It was beautiful. The atmosphere was great and afterward we had little time to shop!

Such a beautiful place! The decoration is so unique, beautiful and creative! Food is really great, well priced and the staff are amazing!! Great place to eat, have tea, and share the tea! Also has so many events there for the little kids!! Blessing to Beech Grove!

We went to rustic root on a spontaneous whim for a pre Christmas celebration with a dear friend and her 4 year old daughter…Santa showed up and made our day!! It was the first time she had ever seen Santa live and it lit up an already beautiful room. The decorations were amazing, the food was delicious, and the store within the restaurant was fabulous but it was the server, Gabby, that made this entire experience for us!! She shared her scrumptious baked goods and her bright personality and it absolutely brought joy to our experience!! We were so pleased and excited that we shared a few tears while we developed this magical relationship during the holidays!! I am forever grateful for that snowy morning when everything was getting cancelled that we showed up to this enchanted place on Main Street in Beech Grove! 10/10 would recommend!! And definitely get a pot of tea…it’s so worth the experience and the vibe!!

Service and food was good for just visiting- However my experience for renting a room for my party was a nightmare. I do not enjoy writing negative reviews, however I just want future interested people to be aware- or for Rustic Root to possibly help the next guest. First off, every time I called I was put on hold or told that I would be called back later- to which I never was and always had to call back days after. When I asked to speak to a manager about having a party, I always spoke with the same person who was always confusing and I never really got very good information. I was told I could rent out a specific room as long as I have AT LEAST 15 people. Great! Then 24 hours before my party, I was told I need to submit a check AND food order before 4pm. I had to work at the time and was not told this before hand, so I was thrown into a frenzy, scrambling around to find someone to drop off the check AND figure out who wants what for lunch because I had to submit the order. Okay, whatever. I made it work. What made me beyond frustrated is that I had MORE THAN 15 people, and they told me the room that I put a DEPOSIT down for, will be given to others because I didn't have enough people. False. They told me I needed to have more than 15, and I did. I was in tears at this point. After begging and pleading and explaining that I put a deposit down for this room for more than 15 people they finally allowed it. Another thing that was EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING, was my room wasn't even ready in time for my party. We had to wait at least 15 minutes (that I paid for,) in the lobby with my guests, holding presents for my party. It was completely awkward and we had zero time to set up because my guests were already waiting past the time. Finally, the last part that was frustrating, was that they had me come in to submit my order before 4pm when I was supposed to be working, and they didn't even follow those orders and just gave everyone soup. I had paid for Soup OR Salad, and they just gave everyone soup. Again, I was so embarrassed and wanted to cry. I WILL say however, the workers were extremely nice and kind who were working on my party and the soup was indeed good. The place is SUPER cute, however, words can't express how disappointed I was in the process to have a party here.

This is my wife's favorite tea room (and she's tried most in Indy and compares them to one she had in London). Knowing that, I called Rustic Root to host her birthday party. Most of the people invited had never experienced a high tea. Everyone loved it! The food was delicious and filling. The staff, especially our server Ashlynn, was nothing short of amazing. We had a few minor adjustments that she and Jenny were very quick to accomodate. She was on top of we needed anything at all and was still asking what else we needed. She also took pictures and videos during the event so no one had to be a designated photographer in the family. Cannot recommend the experience enough. Highly recommend Rustic Root for parties and events!

My favorite is the BLT, salad with blue cheese dressing and the cinnamon coffee cake along with the excellent iced peach tea w/sugar cubes.
Mom loves the cobb salad so much. She gets that every single time!

Tonight I went in to see the new icecream shop to get my husband a snack. I ended up w the PB stuffed cookie and 3 chocolate chip cookies yum!

How fabulous. Always wanted to do a High Tra. This was wonderful. The server was an excellent guide through their menu, making fantastic recommendations for a couple of first-timers. An afternoon tea lunch is a lovely and fun thing to do. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
