We had them for our son’s wedding and they were fantastic!!! James is wonderful to work with and is very responsive with communication! I still have guests talk about how wonderful it was and not your usual toppings! I highly recommend them! If you don’t have an event coming up then definitely go visit him by the Dunes!!

the oven baked aspect was really cool and the crust and pepperonis were delicious. everything else was totally fine and i have a hard time giving above a 3 when it was $17 for a two topping pizza

Pizza was amazing! Dough, sauce, cheese, all perfectly balanced. I highly recommend to get a beer from the store next door and enjoy it on the spot!

Very cool and efficient set up. Plenty of options for you to choose. We shared a pizza but after the first bite I wish I had gotten my own because I wanted to finish the whole thing. It was so good. I rarely camp at the same place twice so that means I will just need another pie before we head back to the Mitten!

Very enjoyable interaction withthe “Front-of-The-House” staff-aka-“The Pizzaiolo”- a great way to enjoy lunch along the Indiana Dunes shoreline.Great combinations- by tweaking- and adding either fresh garlic to the Prosciutto Pizza-&-Sausage to the fresh Spinach pizza per my Pizzaiolo’s reccd.I seem to recall a more shady spot in prior years, under some trees, and that woulda been a nicer “Dining Experience”- IMHO.The toppings on the 2 pizzaswe sampled were savory & well-balanced,I’d a preferreda thinner, crispier, bubbled crust, similar toSpacca Napoli’s pizzas inChicago’s Ravenswood ‘hood. There are plenty of tasty pizza’s for vegetarian or Plant-based folks.Clearly, a winner.Vegetarian options: Hard to make a PIZZA with OUTdairy ( cheese) I can’t recall if they offereda plant-based “cheese”, but there’s enough other possible combinations that one can easily “invent” one withno animal products involved!

Maybe 4 1/2. Stars. Food A+ , based on the 6 different pies we served 12 people. All great. Fast production of the 6 pies! The wood fire gives some smoke flavor, and a bit of char. Margherita has a nice sauce flavor but no basil . Nice pepperoni. Pleasant helpful staff. Foot truck with some outdoor seating, looks permanent. Everybody liked it a lot. It's a bit different. The great crust does not travel well or last long, best very fresh!

Was an amazing experience the owner was so nice and explained everything perfectly and even gave me some history of the truck and pizza overall just an awesome place with great people and the pizza it’s self was even better than the experience and I didn’t think that was possible probably going to start coming to the dunes just for this pizza and experience!

Wasn't there!Give them credit they are checking the reviews. They had posted on Facebook that they weren't going to be there and I was just going off of Google maps. My bad. I wish they were here . I'm just traveling through.

We were visiting the Valparaiso U campus and before we moved on, we wanted to have lunch at a local restaurant. We came across their downtown Valparaiso location and stopped in. So glad we did. The food was amazing! We started with the Stonebaker Salad, greens mixed with dried apricots, toasted almond slivers, and goat cheese, topped with balsamic. Our main course was the wood-fired Purple Pig Pizza, basically BBQ pork topped with tangy slaw. Full of flavor!! Loved the intimate seating area...filled with families and couples. Enjoyed watching the staff working to make and cook and serve and pack carryout orders. Should we ever find ourselves back in Valparaiso or in Beverly Shores, we would definitely try The Rolling Stonebaker again!

South Shore Oven "doesNOT" Work for me. Pure crap. Run away. Nasty. Owner says he was a chef at Eataly in Chicago. "WAS" is the key word.

Pizza dough was not cooked. Dough was not made right. Half pizzas looked good other half horrible. Could not finish.

Absolutely amazing. Drove an hour just to have some of this pizza. Delicious pizzas using the best ingredients. Would highly recommend!

Excellent toppings. Cool experience. This competes with South Shore Ovenworks. The best choice for you friends on how you like your crust. South Shore is fresh and more doughy/chewy. This is cracker crust and more dry and crispy. I like South Shore better. My wife likes Rolling Stone better. We both like them both.

Pizza is SO GOOD. The two people working at the stand were so nice and cooked the pizza super quickly. It was fun to watch them make it!
