What an incredible place to indulge in sweet treats and be with friends on a September afternoon. We showed up about 445pm on Saturday 10 people deep. The girls got the orders for each one of us in a friendly way and everything was ready with lightning speed. We sat in front at the picnic tables and just enjoyed out time. The flurry was thick and heavy on the oreos, the chocolate malt was made to perfection and the ice cream sundaes were HUGE! And no one was left out, even our furry companion indulged in a pup cup!! This is a must stop place for guaranteed great ice cream and friendly smiles!! Places like this are backbone of our history... been here since 1954 and located on a historic National Road.... history at its finest!!

I love banana shakes! This place is close to where I’m staying. I ordered a shake and it was the best banana shake I’ve ever tasted! I’ll definitely go back and try something new.

We have enjoyed this place for years. It’s not perfect, but it’s good local food for a decent price. We haven’t had anything we didn’t like! Our favorites are the chicken tenders, breaded tenderloin, breaded chicken breast, and maccaroni and cheese bites! Their flavor burst ice cream is amazing, blue goo or strawberry are my go tos! With every small local place (or any place really) they can mess up sometimes, but they are always willing to fix the problem if you let them know.
Cashier taking my order took my order correctly yet when i waited about 10 mins for two tenderloins with cheese to get home to have no cheese on either one. Order taker argued with me about a special i had seen and was rude as heck. She needs a reaity check and to go check the fb page. I apologized for the post being from 2020 but she still gave me attitude.

I have been going to the freeze for some time now even a few times a week for strawberry shakes. Today on 6/16 around 7pm I got two of them took a drink and it was so nasty all it was was strawberry syrup talk about nasty. It was a mouth full to and it was warm. The ice cream was melted down prob from all the warm syrup that was added. I called the restaurant and got told they are out of strawberry’s so they used the syrup. I know in the past they have also used it but this time it seemed like I was drinking syrup from the bottle. My child couldn’t even eat his. I told the girl on the phone it would have been nice to know they was out of strawberry’s then I would have ordered something else. But know try to cover it up with half a bottle of syrup. She told me she was sorry and I told her I was too sorry I didn’t turn around and go back to the restaurant and tell them to just keep the shakes. Was a waste of my money.
