Great spot on the main road through Brazil. Service was very good. Food was very good. Seems to be the spot to go to lunch as it was very busy on a weekday. Would definitely recommend.

This is my second trip and it is my favorite local restaurant! The big chains don't have anything on Pappy's. The staff is naturally friendly and remembered me from two months ago. I literally want one of each thing on the menu. I don't know who's in charge of the deserts but they need need a crown. kudos

Tried this place for the first time last night because my boyfriend was constantly suggesting it to me, so we decided to make the hour and a half drive there and I'm so glad we did! Their food was amazing! And the portion of food you get for the price that you pay, is worth the drive in itself. We both chose to get the meatloaf dinner with cheesy potatoes and I chose baked beans while he chose the green beans. It was delicious! They have like 4 bottles of their homeade BBQ sauce at each table for you to try, so I added a little bit of the spicy BBQ & a little bit of the sweet BBQ to my meatloaf and it gave it the right amount of kick to it. We chose to go on a Saturday and this place was so packed that literally the table we were given was the last table available to sit, so we got lucky. And even with it being extremely busy which also made it extremely loud, we had great service. Our server was good at always checking on us, asking if our food was good and always had a smile on her face. I couldn't be anymore pleased with how the night went. This place is a must try for anyone who is questioning whether or not they should go! Go! I highly doubt you will be disappointed! I will definitely be making the drive there again soon!!

Such a great find! We were on a long road trip & my mother in law found this place while searching & we went out of our way to try it. Highly recommended! The staff was so friendly & polite. Our waitress was quick & efficient. I'd say she went above & beyond her requirements for us. The food was reasonably priced & you got your money's worth! It was delicious! Sad that it's so far away but would recommend to anyone out that way! Our favorite thing was the bacon jalapeno poppers, so good!

Man! Fantastic food, friendly service and good price for quantity. Macy was our server who was friendly from the moment we entered through the door. My husband is from Alabama so finding a great southern style BBQ in the north is usually a problem. We have been to other BBQ eateries around TH and weren't that impressed. My husband was happy to see sticky ribs on the menu and they did not disappoint. I had the barnyard trio and it was more than I could eat at once. We both ordered the baked beans, my husband doesn't like beans at all, today was different. Other than my beans, he devoured them! We loved the variety of sauces available at the table. I mixed the honey and spicy. We were gifted bread pudding and OMG!!!! ??? My husband grew up on it and his Aunt has made it for years so he was happy to try it. When you didn't think anyone could possibly make a better bread pudding than a true southern woman ...they did! He hasn't stopped talking about this place for 4 hours. We will definitely return and even take a pudding to-go to his elderly Aunt who now lives in Indy. We appreciate good food. Kudos.

My dad and I just ordered take out from Pappys, and it was so good I had to leave a 5 star review! The prices are reasonable, and they give you a good amount of food. We both got the barnyard trio, and the all the meats were delicious. But my lord that mac n cheese is to die for! It might be the best I’ve ever had. Awesome service from the blonde server named Macy. We went to pickup our food on a busy Friday night, and she got us taken care of immediately, all while maintaining a full restaurant, and training an employee on the register. Pappys you guys knocked it out of the park. Thank you for a delicious meal and great service!

I'll start off by saying we have eaten here numerous times and it has previously been very stellar. This time however was very different. Detailed below are the observations.

Food: We always start out with the jalapeno poppers. They have always been amazing. This time when the server set them down they warned us they were hot, just came out of the oven. The poppers were barely Luke warm and the peppers were still seemingly on the raw side of cooked. The cream cheese mix was relatively flavorless. Such a let down. With my wife's entree she ordered corn bread and what she got was an overcooked brick that she had to tear the center out to even eat. Something that should have never made it's way to the table. Which the server told every table after ours that they were out and making more (the kitchen never got around to actually making more and at least 5 tables asked about it). Server offered my wife something to replace the inedible corn bread, my wife chose the cheesy potatos and it was just weird, unappealing also. Other items with dinner were good, no issues: brisket, pulled pork, baked beans (best in the area), fried apples.

Service: Our server was very friendly and pretty attentive. The kitchen staff came out asking the servers if they were all caught up, hopefully they used that time to start more corn bread for customers (doubt it).

Atmosphere: Same atmosphere as usual. Nothing wrong with it.

I don't know if it's because it's Saturday (last open day for the week for them) and they don't care any more or if they are just trying to sell out of stuff and are giving leftovers to not make more food and create waste. But it's a shame.

We will likely be back in the future, but it'll be a while with this disappointment.

Best Mid-West BBQ you can get. The service was fantastic. The food was soooo good and a great value. It’s obvious how much the owners care about the food, staff, and atmosphere. Stop by to help a local business and your tastebuds!!
