Dunno about authenticity because I've never been to Mexico. But for damned good Tex-Mex in Southern Indiana, this is your place. Guest across the dining room ordered fajitas. Skillet was so hot it set of the fire alarms. I am not making this up. Nobody moved. Must be a regular occurrence. Nice selection of Mexican and domestic beers. Pepsi products on fountain and Mexican Coca-Cola in bottles. As the Lord intended
Alas, the food has gone way downhill at El Reparo. I used to review this as 5 stars, but almost everything on the menu has deteriorated. The once-great chile relleno is now stuffed with a terrible cheese sauce, the chalupa is served soggy with diluted guacamole, the chips are not good and bordering on stale.This used to be great Mexican food, now is somewhat below average.
Not the most decorative but very homey. The service and the FOODis excellent. I don't live in the area but I do travel to Brookville for work. This my favorite place for lunch.
