Sorry but the food was HORRIBLE! I can't give a minus star rating so one star will do...Not sure which restaurant came first. The one in Fishers or this one. But we first visited Big Bear Biscuits in Fishers this place is not the same quality as Fishers. Very disappointed. I order the biscuits with chicken etouffee, grizzly roll and the Hoosier bear. The biscuit was so hard and crumbley I ask for another one and got basically the same biscuit. The cinnamon roll had a refrigerator taste not sure if it's the icing or roll or both. The Hoosier bear tenderloin let's just say it's nothing tender about it!A total waste of my money!Picture #1 Are the big warm and moist biscuits from Fishers Big Bear Restaurant.Pictures 2 &3 Are from here. I ordered a carry out.

I had mixed feelings about this place.I ended up getting what's called the Kodiak. Essentially it's a biscuit sandwich with sirloin steak strips, bacon, I added a poached egg, and a breakfast sausage patty with sausage gravy. As good as it sounds here's where I'm mixed on now I feel about it.If you name your restaurant as biscuits as your main best seller, the biscuits in my opinion would be uplifted. They had decent texture. But the flavor was almost non existent. Slightly buttery but that's it. Just a plain mid at best biscuit. The steak was cooked to order correctly. Great texture. I know that when you cook meat you kind of want to cook on the meat too speak for itself. But that doesn't mean skimp out on seasoning. It tasted good but again, mid at best. That steak could've definitely helped elevate the sandwich. The egg, sausage patty, and gravy were cooked well and the bacon was cooked just the way I like it. The sandwich is also gigantic to the point I had to break it down to eat it. You definitely get what you pay for as far as portion size.I also had the mac and cheese. I will say that was pretty good. Not my favorite. Add some salt and pepper to it. Give it a bit of flavor. Certainly not worth the outrageous $1.50 upcharge. My wife had the shrimp and grits. The grits could've stood to be cooked a bit longer. The flavor was great for it. But after about four or five bites it tends to get overwhelming. Almost like you have to cleanse your pallet to enjoy it again. So kind of want on the opposite side of the spectrum from my sandwich. Additionally, add more shrimp. If the dish us shrimp and grits, kind of can't skimp on the shrimp. My son had the pancakes. Which for water I did think it clever that they shaped it like a bunny for Easter. Clever. Here's the critique of it.As awesome as that is, the pancake seemed lifeless and flat. Less pan"cakey" if that makes sense.I don't remember what the donut ball things were but those were really good.Overall it wasn't a terrible experience. The food overall was mid at best but you get what you pay for in portion sizes. I would try it again but it wouldn't be my first pick. The really disappointing part is I had been wanting to try this place out for a while and it wasn't nearly what I had excepted or told about from a friend.

The food portions here are extremely inconsistent and the quality is as well. The service is terrible and you can tell the employees just don't care. The fact that this place has gone through so many changes in management tells you everything you need to know. I had high hopes for this place but they are a sinking ship. I will never spend a dime here again. RESPONSE TO OWNER: How can I get in contact?

I went today and had the fried chicken biscuit, piment grits and potatoes. It was delicious. The chicken was seasoned and fried well and the grits were creamy and delicious. The atmosphere inside is lovely, very homey. There are tables for seating as well as a bar. Everyone was super friendly and quick with the service. I highly recommend if in the area!

The location in Carmel, IN is better in my opinion. Unfortunately, the food, while still good, does not come out as fresh. It does not feel like the staff is well supported. They are still working hard and providing the best service they can. Having been here several times, it seems like a management issue. Love the buisness and love the food. It is a shame that the staff are not getting the resources they need.Parking: If they are busy, parking can get tight

Very unassuming. The food is great and they have breakfast cocktails! If this place was closer I’d be a frequent flyer.

I was hungry for breakfast, so I decided to try Big Bear Biscuits in Brownsburg. I found the menu pricey, so I ordered a half order of biscuits and gravy so I could at least try a biscuit. I was the only customer present, so I thought the wait was pretty long. It finally arrived. A biscuit on a saucer with Luke warm gravy poured over the top. Not sliced open....just poured over the top. The biscuit was underdone, luke warm and unremarkable. The bill was $6.00. I left a $1.00 tip. Next time I will go across 136 and buy half a dozen donuts at Hildegoss Bakery. The waitress was courteous and did her job well. The ambiance was okey nothing to write home about. Sorry, I don't usually write negative reviews. If biscuit is in your name, you better make a great biscuit every time and cut it open before applying the gravy. I've been making biscuits since I was a kid in my Mom's diner. I know biscuits.

It's new, so hopefully things will get better. We waited for a very long time for our food and once received it was luke warm. The biscuits were huge, but it didn't seem like they were done. If you have biscuit in your title, it should be the best biscuit ever! It was not.
