Neat little bar and restaurant. I would give it 4½ stars if I could. I loved the brisket sandwich. The hobo nachos were good, but I wouldn't call them nachos - they are hard to share and definitely not finger food - I'd call them loaded fries instead. Server was very friendly and helpful with our group.

Staff is so friendly, the burgers were cooked to perfection, the fries are so good, and prices were very reasonable! Well definitely be back! Try the Big Red Margarita!

Our waitress was very friendly and the food was ok, but definitely not worth the $14 for a breaded chicken sandwich that didn't even come with fries. Our bill for 2 adults and a child was $82! $82 for a chicken sandwich, burger, grilled cheese and fries after our tip, No thank you. Then the owner walked the floor and said something to every table in there except for ours that had 7 people, our 7 was over half of the people in there.
Parking: The parking is in the far back and you have to walk up their steep steps to get up to the restaurant.

Nice place with good food, good tunes, and a friendly staff. Had the Brisket flatbread special and fries. Was really good plus got nice and full. Somebody help bottle their hobo sauce!

The atmosphere was good, the service was great, but the food was very disappointing. I ordered the hobo cheeseburger. The burger was very small, the bun was hard as a rock and the special hobo sauce was basic. I spent 40 dollars here and I am leaving to go to Dairy queen to get a decent cheeseburger.

The peach burger is awesome!!
Just had the best peach burger I’ve ever had. Buns were very soft. The owner spoon fed us a new menu item. He saw how messy I was and immediately got me wet wipes. The waitresses were very kind and fast. Came here on our drive through town for the great name, will be back for the amazing food and service. Way better than Dairy Queen.

Good philly flatbread

The service was good. The food was decent but compared to other places it was overpriced for what you get. $10 for a basic bacon cheeseburger (smash burger) that does not even come with fries. The beer was cold though so that made up for it.

The Bearded Hobo thoroughly fills a hole in Brownstown’s culinary, music, and bar scene at reasonable prices. The menu is broad, offering more than standard fried pub fare. The owner takes care in selecting live music performers, and the bar has a variety of beers on tap, wine, spirits, and is a great place to meet and greet colorful locals. The staff are helpful and welcoming, and clearly enjoy working there.
Give The Bearded Hobo a try, you will be glad you did!
Edited to add that despite my rave review, I do not know the owner or have any affiliation with this business. It’s just that good!

The weekly special was very different. They seem to try fun things with them every week. For a quick stop on the way out of town, it was surprisingly good.
