HOWEVER - I did not tip after seeing my toddlers and I were charged $3 for 3 bottles of Sam's club water. I literally have a brick of Sam's water in my trunk right now. Not exactly something I endorse. It won't stop me from dining here again, but it's just disappointing.

I found a worm in the broccoli and the lady pretended that I ate it because that was normal and came from the plant! They don't wash the vegetables! 0 stars!

Absolutely, Abysmally horrid. Below are what I ordered versus what I got. Also featured is the rind from some sort of fruit in with my food. Canned/Bottled drinks only, no music, very dark atmosphere, random junk laying around.

First time trying this restaurant, it is now my favorite! The food is amazing! I was going to my usual place, not anymore! This is my new favorite! The egg rolls look over cooked, they are perfect! The shrimp is big, and delicious! In the picture, is only half of what you get with a large Shrimp and Chinese vegetables! It is enough to eat over two days!

New to the area and had a craving for Chinese... not many options between Lowell and Cedar Lake, so opted for China House. The shrimp egg rolls were good! Also ordered the combination fried rice and Singapore Rice Noodles. Do not recommend. The friend rice is nothing like I have ever had before coming from Chicago. VERY odd and not much flavor. The Singapore rice noodles were gross. The curry flavor they used made the whole dish mushy. I was disappointed. Next time I will make the drive north for better Chinese!
Always tender beef in the Beef and Broccoli. Yummy rangoon. The house special chow mai fun - large portion, so tasty.

Against my better judgment I decided to try this place, honestly I expected worse from everybody’s advice.That being said, I ordered Mongolian beef which was pretty much Mongolian onions because there was barely any beef,The crab rangoon was OK.We had the small combination fried rice, which was OK and the shrimp with lobster sauce had no flavor and the sauce was watery.I won’t be going back.It is worth the drive to go to China King in Crownpoint is a hell of a lot better.

CHINA HOUSE located in Cedar Lake, IN is a warm friendly place with good food. Upon arriving I was promptly greeted & seated in a booth. The restaurant itself is colorfully decorated with trinkets, bamboo plants, oriental statues & lanterns/umbrellas for sale. We ordered Beef Fried Rice, Beef & Broccoli along with Egg rolls & Crab Ragoon which were delicious. The service was good, restaurant clean and price point comparable to similar venues. There is also ample parking around the building. I would recommend China House a good place to dine or carry out. It is inviting and family friendly.
