I’ve lived in cedar lake for 2 years now and tried franks for the first time today. My only complaint is that I didn’t go there sooner! Food was amazing but came second to how amazing the service and workers are. Will most definitely be back!

I'm an overly picky individual when it comes to BBQ, especially since I'm a cook and I've had food from all over. Their food is delicious, to say the least. Their service was outstanding, for sure, and the atmosphere was very personable.The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars was that it's a bit on the pricey side, but I will be returning for sure. You pay for what you get...My order is below.Burnt end, sliced brisket, Italian beef, potato salad, roasted potatoes, and man n cheese. A little bit of a lot.Dietary restrictions: I have some strange allergies, but when I inquired about their seasoning, they were happy to assist. They didn't give away any secrets (boo), but they took the time to help me. I am grateful.Parking: Open, spacious, and somewhat easy depending on which way you're traveling.Kid-friendliness: Nothing dangerous, spacious, and friendly.
My husband and I stopped for a burger after hearing it was "best in the region". These rankings are starting to lose credibility with me but I'll stick to my opinion on Frank's. Food: burger is unique and people really love it. It for sure wasn't for me but that's personal. Greasy, super "meaty" (if that makes sense" and mediocre quality in toppings. Also, they put my husband's double burger toppings on my single burger so we had to disassemble/reassemble at the table (I never ever return food) which is always awful. This for sure was not an exception and was a massive mess. Service was fine, I only interacted with the young girl who took our order. Ambiance is null (it's a bbq place): picnic tables, paper towels, plastic silverware, you get the idea. Rooting for this place but it wasn't for me.

Amazing food and amazing people! Probably the best burger around. The macaroni is delicious and I’m not a huge macaroni person. And the loaded potato soup is my new favorite food! They have stuff for the kids to play with while you wait or eat which is always a plus. And during the summer outside seating.
The staff is outstanding! Probably the friendliest group of workers I have ever met. I'm not a huge red meat eater, but we decided to give the place a try for a friend's birthday. I was not disappointed! The brisket was so juicy, tender, and flavorful! They also have a wide variety of BBQ sauces, all of which are very delicious. This is now my favorite place to go when I'm in Indiana.
The food wasn't all that it was cracked up to be. My friend told me about this place.I have not had bbq better than my husband's. He makes the best ribs and tips, wharever that goes on a grill.The membrane was still on the ribs tips at this place. So that tells me that they just throw them on the grill out of the box. No washing them or cleaning whatsoever.Mommire for me. The baked beans were good. The smoked cabbage was horrible and burnt. The macaroni was so so.

The barbecue food is fantastic especially the brisket Burger mouth watering wanting more. The dine in portion is very relaxed entertainment randomly throughout the place like Mini board games and what not.Kid-friendliness: There is a kid area with kid games to play while parents talk and drink and eat.Wheelchair accessibility: Should be easy access for wheelchair there are no steps.
