My first visit here and it did not disappoint! Great location right across from the lake! Inside is very spacious with a great look about it.
Both girls at the counter were very welcoming!
I am a lover of good strong flavored coffee so they recommend the dark roast drip!
Kendall offered to brew a fresh pit as it was around 10:30 am as she said it was towards the bottom and she did not want me getting a bad cup! That was so appreciated and excellent customer service from her!! The coffee was perfect!! Great staff and great dark roast!!

Just walked into the place and was immediately hot with the aroma of bathroom air freshener covering sewage. It was awful. Certainly not the aroma anyone would expect to smell at a COFFEE HOUSE.

Went to have breakfast here today. Ordered and shortly after getting our breakfast we were told they were closing and we would have to take our meal to go. They did not tell us that when we ordered.

Nice coffee shop with a relaxed atmosphere, I stop by every now and then for a coffe. It is a great place to bring your laptop or tablet and get caught up on business or just meet friends for coffee and a light linch.

Me and my friends just went there and we are extremely disappointed. we ordered chai lattes and they added espresso, i’m quite confused. chai isn’t meant to have coffee, and when we asked the barista why we had coffee in our drinks she laughed in our faces and said because it’s a latte. not all lattes have coffee in them. i felt very awkward and the barista made me feel uncomfortable. we paid $20 for 3 drinks and even tipped $7. I have been here numerous times before and have never once had espresso in my chai. not worth the money nor a good experience.

I'm a regular in Highland, and nothing but good to say about highland! Cedar Lake, so it was my bad. I walked in 2 minutes before they closed. I get it. I managed a coffee shop for 7 years. You clean things up at the end of the day. But the human who told me they were closed could do it in a nicer way.
Human: Just so you know, we close in 2 minutes.
Me: Can I get something to go?
Human: Nope.

The sandwich and drink I ordered was delicious. After the bill was paid, we sat to lookover some work, but the waitress never came back to ask if we would like another drink or anything. We stayed maybe 45 minutes after the bill was paid, so it was quite a while.

My iced latte was just ok. My biggest complaint was the restroom was dirty and there was no way of drying my hands after washing them. Paper towels were gone and no hand dryer. I personally wonder how clean the kitchen is when the bathroom is not taken care of.
