I had been wanting to come here for a while but I live about 25 miles away. We came for lunch on a Saturday and I didn't realize it was a limited menu. You can't get the country dinners or any sides but fried stuff and slaw. Anyway, I got the country fried steak breakfast. It was basically frozen out of the freezer fried stuff with some stodgy gravy. The biscuit wasn't homemade and was nothing remarkable. My sister got catfish and fries and was satisfied with it but she would rather have had a vegetable side other than coleslaw so she opted for just fries. We ordered fried mushrooms but they came out still cold in the middle. They, too, were a frozen item that they just fry and not well. We returned them.
There was very little that was homemade about that food. If you just want a burger and fries and/or a standard breakfast then you'll be fine. We inquired about dessert but all they had was plain cheesecake with no sauce (I like a strawberry sauce with mine) I was disappointed with the whole experience and won't be back.

We ate here twice while camping at Charlestown State Park. This place is awesome, food all tastes homemade and fresh...get the cole slaw and breaded zucchini fries you won't be disappointed. They give large servings with low prices. They don't price gouge like most restaurants do now. Where else can you get a chicken dinner with 3 SIDES and a roll for under $15? I would like to see them add a couple grilled or baked seafood items and maybe a black bean burger. The service fast and all staff friendly. Will definitely be back here!! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

A great place for a breakfast or lunch. Excellent food and service. I really enjoy eating an omelette or scrambled egg breakfast here. It’s located near the town square. It has a small town friendly feeling. There’s a barber shop a block away ($10 haircuts). Reasonable prices at the restaurant and great price for haircut.

I'm not from the area and stopped here after seeing Charlestown State Park. The food was delicious. I got a patty melt & fries and it was only $8.99. The locals seemed to love this place and I can definitely see why.
