I should have walked away when we had the first warning sign: the host said we’d have a seat in 5 minutes and the proceeded to look at their phone for the next 15. After waiting awhile, we ordered food and one beer. After 30 minutes, we reminded the waitress of the order. It turns out they had a problem with faulty tap equipment, forgot to notify us, and just never brought the beer. Another 30 minutes and the food never came. It’s been an hour and we needed to leave to feed our children. The waitress apologized and explained they had a 20-top but still charged us for the beer despite the earlier mistake and eventual no show on the food. If the restaurant can’t handle large groups and individual families, then shut down the restaurant for a private party.

This business will not accept our gift card. Unbelievably horrible customer service with a gift card when the business has been claimed to be sold but nothing has been changed throughout the business. Dont dine at Chesterton Brewery.

The mac and cheese was SO good & so was the smoked meat. We got the Brigade fries for an appetizer and it was so filling. Nikki was our server and she was absolutely AMAZING! if you want a local spot to go to with great drinks, food, and service this is the place to go!

Great service, great drinks, LOVE the wings, sauces, cole slaw and pork sandwiches. Brisket was embarrassingly bad. I’d consider learning to properly smoke and serve or remove from menu. Everything else A+

First and absolute last time at this establishment. Our table was served a cold and rock hard grilled cheese and overcooked chicken tenders. Was not busy so can't blame it on that. Cooks are below entry level and need to be re-evaluated. Talk about a

This was our second time there. First we love that it is veteran oriented. The place is very clean. Our server, Morgan, was excellent. The bartender was terrible. We each ordered a flight of their beer. Morgan explained that she could not pour the drinks because of her age. We understood. The bartender took care of everyone at the bar and even stopped to talk to several patrons and never poured our flights. Morgan was very apologetic and eventually found the lady bussing tables was able to pour our flights. This was 25 minutes after we were seated. We drove an hour but will not make that mistake again. The beer was ok, nothing special.

I picked up a to go order, and it was a packed house early on a Friday night...people were lined up for a seat...it is not a large dining room so expect to wait some. Fried catfish platter was delicious and have ordered it numerous times over the years. Burgers are very good too...the Cole slaw is exceptional with a jalapeño kick but not too hot...run by a Veteran and a kick back off profits to veterans. Strongly recommend this place if ever in Chesterton, Indiana. Their menu is on their website.

Great food and atmosphere. It's hit or miss if there is a wait to get seated. Food is great and i have never had a complaint or bad service!

Good food and environment Hard to find in the corner and no big sign that we could see in the dark. We aren't locals. But we enjoyed our visit and food. Service was okay; not exceptional but friendly.

From an absolute great meal to fantastic service we had a wonderful evening!!! One of the best Cubans I've ever had, excellent chicken wing (bourbon BBQ sauce - tasty ) to the best CoLeslaw we ever had! Generous portions as well. Cant forget the tasty brews all raved about but my fav was the Gin made from down the street at Duneland distiller. My next venture!

After a long day on the road driving in from Georgia stopped for a bite and a beer. Food was as good as the beer. Great atmosphere excellent service. Having 3 children and a grandson in the military their appreciation of servicemen/women is noted. Good selection to eat and the beer rotates I guess on what they are brewing. Had the coffee and peanut butter stout highly recommended both. Only thing missing was Dessert .... but was it? No! The amazing bartender had the offered up some homemade fudge for the win. Looking forward to our next visit.
