I ran in 15 min (11:15 am) after they opened to simply get a $100 gift card for a client I had a closing with at 11:30 same day. I handed the waiter $100 cash he walked away, came back and said “I can’t take cash at this time” I could see if I needed change? So needless to say super disappointed and went to closing with nothing to my client! Won’t be back!

It was our first time dining here. We have lived in Crown Point since 2011 and always wanted to dine here but hadn’t had the opportunity. The food was excellent. Our server was amazing. The atmosphere was superb and the staff very cordial. We will come back soon for sure. Thanks, Leo Pachecko

First night we ordered takeout because we just arrived in town and were trying to get settled in. Food was excellent and ready as stated. We went back two nights later because a lot of area restaurants are closed Mon/Tue. We sat outside on a beautiful evening. Service was great, food was excellent again. Nice wine list as well. Definitely recommend.

The service was great. The food was amazing. The portions were definitely small. I can’t believe I left an Italian place still hungry. But it was a really nice experience.

Wonderful atmosphere, excellent food, friendly staff. Different than other Italian places, I’d say it’s upscale, but still affordable. Definitely a place to go for anniversary, birthday or on a first date.

Stuffed shells and the sausage dish as well as the peach Sangrias were all excellent, service was excellent and there is off street parking. We will be back!

This was the my second visit to the restaurant and it paled in comparison to the first time. My waiter was inattentive and only did the basics. He delivered my drink, salad and dinner, but never checked back to see if I liked my meal or ask me if I needed anything else the entire time. I pretty much felt like I was invisible and it really wasn't busy until I left. I later found out from one of the girls there that my waiter was actually the manager. I was completely floored that this guy who did such a poor job was running the restaurant. When he gave me the check, I had a conversation with him and told him that I was very disappointed with his service. His response was that he doesn't like to bother people, but keeps his eyes on his tables. My thoughts on that are what a load of ****! That will be my last time at Lucrezia's.

I searched for an appropriate dining spot to celebrate my birthday and this place delivered! We enjoyed their well shaded patio that was quiet, even though a through street was nearby. My peach salad was excellent as was the pasta flight I ordered. They have nice wine choices, too.

I have visited many times over the years and the food is always excellent. You can expect higher prices there, but this isn't Denny's. It is fine dining at its best. A small town like Chesterton is lucky to have a restaurant of this quality. It is a perfect place to go for a special occasion or just bc you deserve something out of the ordinary.

Our first visit and the four of us were pleasantly surprised by the food and service.
First, the service was exceptional. We were greeted promptly and professionally and the level of service never let up throughout our meal. We were offered fresh grated Parmesan and pepper at ever turn. Our water glasses were never empty.
I had the minestrone to start. The soup had a rich deep tomato base and though it wasn’t loaded with vegetables every spoonful was delicious. Next up for me were the crab cakes ( appetizer ) served with a lemon caper aioli. They were perfectly seared and again; delicious. The Vouvray by the glass was a perfect foil for my dinner. My friend had the spaghetti with veal meatballs. The proof of a good meal is his remark that he would come back tomorrow night for the same meal.
We sat outside and the atmosphere was delightful. Most highly recommend.

I really enjoyed the outdoor dining spot, and the food was delicious. I appreciated the help of a Spanish-speaking waiter who assisted us with a few things we didn’t understand and easily resolved a misunderstanding.

Too small of a restaurant for the number of diners they cram in. Very loud. Never room at the bar to enjoy a cocktail before dinner. The meals are very expensive, nothing special, and they do not include soup or salad. Small baguette complementary; extra costs $5. A spinach and apple salad with no protein is $14. Compare their prices with Pestos, in Valparaiso, for example. Chicken Marsala at Lucrecia is $32; Pestos $21. Chicken Parm $34 vs. $20. Similarly overpriced compared to other Italian restaurants in Northwest Indiana. This is Chesterton, not downtown Chicago.

Very disappointed. Prices are ridiculously high. Meals come with nothing besides a small loaf of bread for four people. Service was slow. Assistant manager was serving and splashed water on legs when pouring, then the bus boy later spilled water all over table and into one of our dishes and said let me get you some napkins…left them for us to wipe up. Portions are very small and nothing was impressive to warrant the prices. Would not return, nor recommend.

The Sampler was amazing. Everyone needs to try this place!

Edit: my wife and I were on a road trip and went out of our way on the route home, specifically to eat here again.

Yes... It's that good.

And yes, I ordered the Sampler Trip again. ?
