Stopped by randomly for dinner during a road trip. This hole in the wall place had incredibly fresh fish. The nigiri we had, both the hamachi and the sake were delicate, and delicious. We took a chance on the Autumn Lemon Role which was a real surprise with the thinnest of lemon slices giving each bite a wonderful zest. I think this is the second review I’ve ever written in the past decade. It’s good, very good. You should try it.
We stopped by on our way back to chicago. Service was friendly quick and food was fresh. Tempura was yummy! Would recommend if in the area and looking to support this family owned business.
I had a taste for Japanese food. I ordered the chicken and shrimp hibachi. It was bland. Tasted like they put a little sauce on it. It said it had vegetables but it only had a little zucchini. My husband had Udon soup. It had good flavor. I felt it was a little pricy for the quality. I would not come back.
