If you don't leave a glowing review don't go there. I was given food that was spoiled. The owner mentioned about a review after I said something was wrong with my food. And my review wasn't bad, just that the waitress wasn't like ones that were there before and food wasn't made right. So figured anyone can have an off day so tried again and was given food that shouldn't have been given to anyone

We have now been twice. The food was made perfectly and served hot. The menu has a lot of interesting choices that you don't find everywhere. The prices are so reasonable. The staff is friendly, efficient and attentive. The diner decor is so cute. It is eclectic without being cluttered or disheveled. The coffee is delicious and they send you out the door with a cup to go.

Great atmospher, excellent service, but most importantly EXCELLENT FOOD!! Best breakfast anywhere!! Tried something different this morning. We had the ribeye steak and eggs and oh my God the flavor the taste was just phenomenal. I don't think you can go wrong with anything you order there. Their food is just so wonderful. We drive all the way from Laporte to get probably the best breakfast I've ever had in my entire life. Brought my family when they were in visiting from Springfield Illinois for the holidays and my son said by far this was the best breakfast he has ever ever had. He can't wait to come back and visit just to go back to the NORTHSIDE DINER for breakfast. If you have'nt experienced the food, the friendly service, the atmosphere at the NORTHSIDE DINER I suggest you need to do so because once you go, you will wanna go back.

Went there twice and both times couldn't get a seat. Never even said one word. A guy comes in behind us sits him down at the counter and got him a cup of coffee. Yep won't ever go there again.
Stopped in for breakfast on my Dune visit. Kerry was incredibly sweet and so good at her job! Atmosphere is perfect for that quick traditional breakfast with a piece of nostalgia. Loved the special touch of the homemade cookies with purchase at the end! Worth the extra trip and timesDietary restrictions: No gluten free options. Typical diner food.

Stopped here for breakfast on the way to a day of hiking at the dunes. We didn't realize that they closed at 11:00 that day and we got there at 10:59. We felt bad for getting there at the last minute but the service never reflected that. This had to have been one of the best experiences I've ever had with a server at any restaurant. Extremely friendly and helpful telling us about the area and where to go to find information on our hikes. Overheard her having several conversations with other people at the restaurant and was just as friendly to every one of them also. The atmosphere of this place was awesome and the mural out on the front was great too. Food was just as good as the service. Someone else mentioned it in another review but yes tomatoes on a Western omelette is a great call and the French toast was delicious. I like to try new places but this is one where I might just skip a new place and come back here if I have the chance in the future.

Wondering how much ppl are getting paid to say this food is good been there few times unfortunately (I learn lessons the hard way) food is trash no flavor or seasoning hash browns are like eating cardboard eggs are bland bacon over cooked breakfast burrito 5 yr old can do better been in this industry a long time so I know shitty food when I come across it and pretty hard to screw up breakfast but here we are 1 star is being nice won't let me leave it blank
