We were traveling back home to Illinois from our amazing family vacation in Michigan when we needed to find breakfast to make the drive. I stumbling upon this diner and was so glad we picked it. Instantly treated with a Good Morning by the lovely staff. Starting off hot with the coffee - it was sooo good. We got a little bit of everything with our family of 5 and we all finished our plates. The biscuits and gravy were some of the best we have EVER had. The waffle was not a normal waffle it was cinnamon-y and so fluffy inside and crisp outside. The sausage was great, and my son finished every bite of his country skillet. So happy to have stumbled on this place on the cute little downtown area.

Went in and sat down, wasn’t very busy at all, watched others around us eat and leave, saw others come in , sit down and get their food. All the while we still sit. Waitress never came and checked on us not even once! Finally she walks by and I ask if we would be getting our breakfast soon. It had been an hour since we sat down, she said “oh, I will check on that”. 10 minutes later she doesn’t return to inform us what is going on at all but I see her scrambling back in the kitchen! She obviously forgot to turn our order in. We left! Steer clear! The waitress was an older thin lady with a bob haircut! AVOID this place!!!! I would give ZERO stars!!

A great place to eat unless it's the grits, then you'll get a soup with 0 flavor and so watery getting it to have flavor is a no-go. Everything else is fantastic, service outstanding, atmosphere awesome, and the other food delicious.

Adorable, local breakfast and coney style place. Children friendly. If you are visiting the national park( Indiana Dunes State park) it worth the few minutes drive. 2 people, 2 breakfast omelets with 2 coffee and 1 orange juice under $25 without 20% tip.
