I placed a late order and had asked if they were still delivering, very polite girl on the phone said im so sorry delivery driver just left, i said no problem i have to run out anyway so i will do just carry out. The girl that took my order Sadie i believe i dont know how to spell it but this girl was so polite and kind, i have never in my life recieved service like that with the kindness on the phone, i hope this girl is the manager. I order from Vals alot and will continue to, that girl has some customer skills, very happy customer tonight and food phenomenal as usual ?

Kinda dive bar atmosphere. But the bomb sandwich is amazing.
After a day of hiking through the Dunes, we were happy to find a restaurant with 4+ stars. The ratings were true. Our waitress was very kind and patient with our questions about the menu. She was prompt on refills and a delight to talk to. The food was good and we will definitely stop back by when we return in the summer for a new Dunes experience.

Had never heard of this place but came here on a recommendation. I can’t remember the last time I had a meal this bad. I couldn’t finish my food and got sick a few hours later. Our server was short tempered and rude. She said she was the only server, which I can appreciate is stressful, however the way she handled herself was disappointing to say the least. An apology and a good attitude goes a long way in those situations. They dropped our food and we didn’t see her again for almost 30 minutes. We didn’t complain but when she finally returned she got defensive and visibly irritated by simple requests like drink refills. The only redeeming quality was the dessert.

Had the Italian beef with fries. Fortunately I only got 1/2 sandwich and 1/2 order of fries. Alot of food and could not finish. They were both very good. My husband got 1/2 of the Veggie grinder and said it was delicious. The service was outstanding. The server was excellent. I don't remember her name but we were there on Thursday at approx. 11:45 so who ever was working. Not a fancy place but clean and food was good so that's what we care about. Will be returning.
