We visited Ahlemeyer Bakery last week.
Though I've been wanting to write a post about their pies since then, life got in the way.
We bought three pies: apple, mixed berries, and sugar cream. Oh, the sweet taste of American pies! I'm salivating just thinking about them.
My favorite was their apple pie: a perfect blend of tart and sweet. Their pie crust, oh heaven, was soft, airy, crunchy, and buttery. I could form a mattress out of that pie crust and sink my whole...
This is my go-to local bakery for pies, cookies, cakes, and so on. My favorite thing is the German chocolate brownies. They're gooey, fresh, and always have plenty of nuts in the topping.
Called from out of state to order a pie for my mom's birthday. The customer service was great. Samantha took my order and boxed up the pie for pick-up by my dad. Parents said the Sugar Cream pie was delicious! A true Indiana tradition. Thank you!
