We were cheerfully greeted by Abigail, who gave our son a long, colorful bendy straw and promptly seated. Her great attitude and attention to our son was much needed on this last stretch of our long road trip home. Our waitress Ella was joyful as well. She was prompt and happy to answer my questions. We all enjoyed our dinner and the price was reasonable as well. We will definitely return on our next trip in a month. Round of applause for such great staff. Been coming to Bob Evans every day for my client and every day I order almost the same meal. Today the hostess taking the order was a little old lady sweet but she just I guess she didn't understand the order. I repeated it couple times when it was time for me to grab my item. She tried to give it to somebody else without asking their name. I'm not sure if she just was new. I haven't seen her all week but today the service was a little rough. Food was amazing

I was in Columbus, Indiana for work and ate at Bon Evans twice. Being from the East I was not familiar with this chain restaurant. For lunch I ordered the half pot roast sandwich and salad, and for a dinner meal I had the Country Fried Steak with two sides. Both meals were large, well presented, and filling. Both meals come with either biscuits, rolls, or banana bread. Service was excellent at the lunch but not great at dinner as the waitress basically ignored me after putting down my meal. For a reasonably priced meal, it’s a good choice.
I think they have a new staff. Do yourself a favor and wait awhile before going. Maybe after a few weeks the cook will get better. It was the worst food I’ve had at a restaurant . The service was ok, but you could tell she was worried we would complain bc she made her interaction as short as possible with everyone. It was also awkward because the staff kept arguing with each other loudly and everyone in the team was clearly upset with the cook.

I ordered the Farmers double meat breakfast . It showed 4 sausage links and 4 strips of bacon. I got 3 sausage links and 3 strips of bacon. So I guess their practice here to save money is to short their customers a 1/3 of the meat they order??? I also asked for my pancakes to come after the meal so they would be hot and was told they couldnt do that. The hashbrowns were disgusting. They had that old greasy burnt oil taste that happens when the grill isnt clean. Over all the food just wasnt worth what we paid for it at all. Guess there is a reason we dont frequent this chain and wont be doing so again.
