Homeboyz is tucked back behind Coach's Cutz in the same building, just back from Washington St. This is a family owned and operated place with some fantastic soul food. Plan on taking it to go, as their place is so small they only have one table, but what they lack in seating they more than make up for in both the quality and portions of their meals.

The last time we were there, my wife and I split their Ultimate Combo: catfish, chicken, with your choice of two sides, which we opted for their collard greens and macaroni and cheese. We also picked up a slice of cake. The portions were so good, we couldn't finish it all, and neither of us have small appetites. They're only open Thursday through Saturday, but it's well worth the limited hours.

By far the best fried chicken I have found since moving to Indiana from Louisiana back in 2016! Not to mention their greens are absolutely amazing (something I don't buy from restaurants because it's never done right). The owners are very friendly and go above and beyond for their customers. Thursdays is officially my day to get fried chicken!

I’d give 10 stars if I could! The staff is AMAZING! We got chicken, collard greens, green beans, Mac and cheese and corn bread muffins. You can tell it’s all made from scratch and it is MOUTH WATERING deliciousness! We can’t wait to come back to try the fish and get more of the amazing sides!

If you want down home cooking, the real deal- come visit this little dinner. Some of the options available are chicken, fish, greens, Mac and cheese, cabbage, corn bread, rolls, and much more! All made from scratch! Peach Cobbler, Sweet Potato Pie and Caramel Cake! The restaurant is named after the owner’s father. This was my first visit it and the food was so much more than I expected. Made me think I don’t know how to cook! It’s small, usually carry out, but there is some indoor seating available and a table outside. It’s a hidden gem nestled on a corner!

Sometimes you need both spicy and regular … sometimes you need fish and chicken … Homeboyz is happy to give you it all! Delicious and large portions with a wonderful staff. Can’t get home cooked food like this very often. Also, they have cool tumblers for sale!

This is my first time here but won't be my last. Wonderful staff - very friendly and they don't cook the chicken and fish until you order it. The food is delicious and you can tell it's homemade. Highly recommend! I got the deluxe meal which has fish and chicken, with two sides (mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese)

Wonderful experience! The food was incredible, the ladies were the nicest, and Ernest is the best! A must try for awsome food!!

Food wasn’t bad. Sides were delicious. My main complaint, I waited an hour for my food. I ordered a meal and a single piece of chicken and a side and it took an hour. I’ll go back but I advise, if you want food from here, call ahead to avoid a long wait time.

Theresa and Ernest are the absolute best! From the moment you step in the door you are treated like family, like they have known you their whole lives. My chicken was fresh, crispy, light breading. Green beans and Mac n cheese was to die for! Thank you Theresa!

My husband and I finally tried Homeboyz Fried Chicken and Fish today!I got the dark meat chicken dinner with Mac n cheese and cabbage and my husband got the Homeboyz special with two pieces of fish and potatoes with onion drippings.Soooo delicious!!!I think our favorite thing was the taste of putting the fish, potatoes, and onion drippings all in one bite! So much flavor ?They also gave us some free dessert, which we still need to try later tonight!The gentleman working there was so nice and friendly ? He talked to us right away when we walked in and he explained what they had on the menu. Great customer service ??Go ahead and check them out! The entrees are made fresh, so best to call ahead so they can start cooking. Very limited seating, so plan to carry out.

It's a tiny room on the back of a barbershop that you enter through a door in an alley. It is welcoming. The employees treat you like you matter. They are friendly and outgoing. The food is cooked fresh and is hard to beat. The batter on the fish is light and perfect. It's tiny and only open 3 days a week, but I would recommend you go. I don't think you'll be disappointed.
