The menu has changed a little since we were last there, but the food is still good! I hope one of these days I'll save room for dessert.
First time going and over all it was ok. The food to me was a little over priced but it was good. Not Buca good but good. The bloody mary had a watermelon taste to it and wasn't all that great. The salad was the best part of it all, the pecan salad was really good. We got apps and the mushrooms was also really good. Overall just an ok experience.
Food was good. However, I did not think it was worth the price. The service was terrible. The staff was yelling in the kitchen and saying how much they hated it there. The entire place needed deep cleaned. The kitchen was filthy, floors were sticky, and tables were dirty. When I got up to use the restroom I had a male employee ask where I was going and then follow me part of the way and tell me be was "having a bad day" felt very uncomfortable during our dining experience.
I enjoy coming to Johnny Carino’s with my family. The food is delicious and while it took a little while, it was worth it. The servers were very friendly! The restaurant was very clean and the environment welcoming.I like their unlimited soup and salad.
Restaurants was clean and nice, little chilly. However the service was slow, and waited forever for our main entrees. The bread and Cesar salad we received quick, and were great and our app was hot and nice, then we waited a while and eventually got our entrees they were cold my husbands was Luke warm closer to cold and mine was ice cold took it to go so I can warm it up. Would of been higher for food if we got it warm.
Amber really outdid herself with the customer service. She is kind, friendly and very attentive to the customers needs. Thank you so much Amber!! You’re amazing and the drink you made us was absolutely FANTASTIC!!
Service was ok (a little slow), the food flavor has completely gone downhill, and somehow an Italian restaurant that is known for pizza was out of pizza during a Sunday lunch. However, with that said, the worst/most disgusting part is the state of cleanliness of the restaurant. There was black mold growing on the ceiling, and the bathrooms were gross. It makes you wonder just how disgusting the kitchen is. Management should seriously consider spending a small amount to fix the interior. I would not recommend going based on the current state of the restaurant.
What a rip off. I’m not sure how these people sleep at night. We ordered the baked Tortelloni and the portion was so small we would have been better off getting a tv dinner. They charged $18.99 and we received 10 pieces that were the size of a quarter. When we questioned it we were told they have to charge California prices. We’re in Indiana people.
Great food! The bread and dipping oil was delicious! Went there for lunch and got the endless soup and salad. Service was a little slow, don't recommend if you are in a hurry.
The food was fantastic and the service was even better!!!!! This was our first time there and my toddler was acting like a wild child but the waiter was super patient and very friendly! He also made nice conversation and took great care of us! He said he had only been there since October and just moved here but knew exactly what he was doing and answered all our questions and was on point about everything! The prices are a little high but the amazing service and amazing food made it worth every penny!!! Was the best birthday dinner I have ever had and I can't wait to go back!❤️

Decided to give it another try. Me and my husband use to eat here weekly and we're big fans that had amazing family memories. But like many others, the past couple years the downfall in quality and taste was severe. Today I ordered a tortellini baked cheese with Alfredo and Shrimp carbonara to-go. I asked for some parmeasan and was told that's not something that normally gets put in a to-go order. Wow, huh. I almost apologized for asking. Then as I'm including a tip, she brings a very small cup that would only give enough for 1 meal. But ok..when I get home I opened up dinner. The portion was SMALL. My $47 dinner and there was not even enough to coat the bottom. In comparison to my husband's dinner, it was extremely disappointing. The taste was what I imagine to be a watered down Alfredo. I had to put on my own skillet to warm up. It wasn't warm at all. The carbonara was warm, plenty of a decent portion size but hardly no sauce at all. I ate my husband's dinner, will hv to cook and it cost me a lot of money. I'm saddened to say my patronage with carinos has come to an end. I hope the owner will see this and ask himself what changed can i implement before its too late ? Please sir/ ma'am, make the necessary changes or shut the doors. I miss the food and great customer service I used to get for many years.
Food was excellent. My fiance said it's the best sweet tea he's had in a while. However, the booth we sat in had NO padding and was sitting on straight wood. Pretty uncomfortable, but all in all everything was pretty good.
Food was great. I have to say after many times trying this place today was the best. Service, food, and management were on point. We have had some bad experiences but the new young manager really knows how to do his job. My husband and I saw him go to almost every table, take food out, and help the cooks. We haven't seen this type of experience before from this restaurant. It was amazing just watching the manger doing what he was doing. They have definitely turned it around and we will be coming back.
The waiter was great with a good attitude. That is the extent that I can speak well of this place. The kitchen staff on the other hand really needs an overhaul. Between being out of things like salad and no one in the kitchen at all for like 15 minutes with several tables sat and orders in. Then ending up with everything hitting the table all at once after sitting at the table for 20 to 25 minutes after ordering with nothing but drinks. And other tables around us that had ordered before us getting their food after us. Other times I have been there it has been much the same story, but it had been awhile since I had been there and I figured I would try it again. I am fairly sure that if there was much competition for Italian cuisine in Columbus, this place would not even remain in business.
Seems to be a failing restaurant. At one time was fairly well run but the last couple of times that we've tried it, we've been disappointed. The service last night was sub-par. Our server reeked of smoke and only showed up briefly. You could tell the sauce was not made in house. Also the building is starting to age with paint peeling and wood cracking and isn't being repaired. They've raised the prices significantly and lowered the amount of protein in the dishes. All in all a series of disappointing experiences. I think that was our last try.
