The hamburgers were ok, but they are different than they used to be! They used to have a smaller bun, were slightly smaller & greasier! I’ve gone to Lucas bros since they were located on 4th street. When your great or great- great grandmother worked there! So I do know these burgers& they weren’t the same! They were similar but not the same! Guess you give more because you must charge more? But I prefer the original burgers. Slightly disappointed!

You can watch them make your food. Super fresh, delicious, and great staff. A burger grilled on a bed of onions just does something to you. We WILL be back. Enjoy this amazing cheese pull pic from the cheese curds! WORTH IT.

The cooks are friendly and respond quickly while helping you understand the menu items. The place took me back to Jr high school where we were allowed to leave school grounds for lunch. I would go to a place called The Lunch Box on the square in Scottsburg IN. Everyone loved their hamburgers and fries that were the closest thing to a slider in town.

I’ve not eaten meat in over eight years so I never thought I’d be able to experience Lucas Brothers. Yesterday while walking by I noticed they had a veggie burger. I knew I’d be here today for lunch! The guy who took our order was extremely friendly and helpful. I made sure to add the grilled onion to my veggie burger so it was more like the original burger that they are known for. The food was amazing! I told the person I was dining with that it reminded me of a diner I used to eat at when I was a kid back in the 60s and 70s. I will definitely become a regular customer.
A local favorite that has been around Columbus for over 70 years. Known for their burgers, this trip I chose the grilled cheese sandwich. The sandwich was tasty, and my grandkids enjoyed a large sample of it. Check this one out if you like old fashioned burger and fries experiences.

Mushroom and Swiss with gravy and a side of onion rings will always be my comfort food and happy place at Lucas Brothers. There's something so fun and joyful to sit at the counter with my hubby and chat about it day with the noise of the diner and griddle and deep fryer in the background. The smells and sounds are so quintessential diner and the food is delicious. 🥰
