I ordered 1/2 potato to go. I must have made the clerk mad because all I wanted was 1/2 potato. When I got home with my meal it was pitifully. The skin was so hard you couldn’t cut it with a chainsaw. It was so over-cooked, most of the inside was gone. Be a long time before I ever go back. Well done, chick!
Got carry out and the bun was mushy and the hot grilled chicken was cold. Wasnt even edible! A wet mushy mess the last two times I’ve eaten there 😏

This place was offal for how much money I spent here. Plus, I placed my order online, and it was confusing. When I got to the store, what I thought I ordered and what I got were two different things. To make it way worse, they didn't care to fix it they made me pay for another sandwich.

Mcalister's is probably my favorite lunch spot, and I go at least once a week (various locations around my state)
This is the first time I have felt prompted to leave a bad review. I ordered my usual (spud max, no olives, rotel on the side). This order is simple enough for some, sometimes they charge for the rotal, sometimes they don't- I don't mind either way. But today it was a whole situation. The register experience was smooth and she even stated to the kitchen "rotel on the side, not on the potato." What I got was a pretty old, sorta hot tater with NO cheese of any kind on it or on the side. Per my buddy "that's hospital food". When I asked why it had no cheese and explained the order, as well as asking for the additional butters (again, as per my habit) I was met with a confused look. He returned after about 5 minutes with a side of rotel cheese and a tiny cup of shredded cheddar jack along with my buddy's food (he ordered from the app/tableside). No extra butter, and no drink for my buddy. While everything was edible and the tea was 7/10 (pretty good), the overall experience at our "lunch spot" made us decide Columbus is now our "avoid this location" Mcalisters. It feels like a lot of small quality control/people caring about their job steps were missed. Yeah, it was during the post lunch lull, but that means less rush, more time to get it right. So please Columbus, get it right next time.

Stop asking for tips at a self serve establishment! 🤬
Horrible...waited forever... food was cold...my soup "was" warm said the worker who tried it 🤢... I will never come here again. Below is a photo of my husband's mac and cheese... Disgusting. The restaurant had many dirty tables and employees were just standing around talking. The chicken tortilla soup was so salty...I think I had my months sodium intake in one bowl.
I only came here because my wife wanted soup. I haven't been to this place forever. Turns out my gut instinct was right. I will never step back in this place again. Cold soup and day-old macaroni and cheese is not very appetizing after a long day on the road.

They're Reuben's are the best of anywhere. I wish they would bring the pickle bar back though...

The food is actually good but I’m only eating three stars because the prices are ridiculous. I get that everything is up but $30 for two people to eat deli meat sandwiches is just dumb. Not to mention the sandwiches aren’t as big as they used to be. I don’t know what the answer is but continuing to eat out at these prices is unsustainable. If it’s just price gouging then shame on you McAlisters!
