My wife & I had a Friday late lunch at The Pump House during a 2-day visit to Columbus, IN. The impressive building sits on the Flatrock Riverfront immediately south of the IN-46 bridge, with adjacent riverside construction underway for TBD time frame. Approx. 40% of the property's parking lot was accommodating construction crew vehicles when we arrived, but I was able to find a spot after some searching. The indoor bar & dining areas have attractive decor, with high ceilings & lots of natural light in the dining space while the bar space is noticeably darker. The dining tables & chairs were placed to offer comfortable gaps between visiting parties, but the furnishings have seen better days.

Our server Maggie S was very friendly, and she helped us make our menu sides choices. She also checked on soft drink refills regularly. The quality & serving sizes of our meal ingredients were satisfying. My wife's Turkey & Guac Sandwich was just OK for her taste, while my perfectly cooked Sweet Plum Smashburger was excellent & the housemade potato salad was a good side match.

We would return to the Upland Brewing Co. Pump House if we ever visited Columbus, IN again.

I really like this spot. The food is good, the building/location is great and the staff always treats me well, despite my being awkward🙂

The food wasn't bad. I might have just not chosen well. My son's meal looked better than mine.

Not impressed. I had the cream ale and it wasn't great. The barkeep gave me the impression that she resented having to get me a beer. And she didn't tell me that I was going to be charged the same for a full pint versus a half pint. Not worth my time to go here again, since there are better breweries nearby.

I had an excellent experience at the Upland Columbus Pump House. I met there with my sisters family to celebrate Christmas. The atmosphere is amazing with the interior all brick with a high cieling. The view outdoors added to the atmosphere. The waitress gave us plenty of time to place our order. The craft beer was very good, having a large selection to choose from. The food was perfect. It was well cooked, and the portion size didn't disappoint. My brother uses a rollator and a ramp was available to the main floor.

Nothing negative to say! Wish it was closer to my home. Our “Beer” tender Jess was amazing and made our visit special. She went well beyond to make sure our time spent was worth it. A+++. Great beer, tasty eats and fun atmosphere.

The host and food were fast. Service was horrible. We waited over 10 minutes once seated for a drink order and the same for our check. Waitress claimed they were slammed with 15 empty tables lol. It was 1:45 p.m they weren't slammed.

Also, wife ordered a seltzer from the menu and then we were told they dont serve seltzer. Overall, nothing impressive at all. Run of the mill pub.

Anyone who enjoys craft beer and pub grub will find something to love here! We already knew the Upland Brewing Company and their Dragonfly IPA from Indianapolis and decided to have dinner at the Pump House when we visited Columbus. The atmosphere is rustic, laid-back, and perfectly suited to the food and craft beer experience. We ordered the fried Brussels sprouts, the Margherita pizza, and the Blue Flame burger – all three dishes were delicious! Our waitress was also very friendly, attentive, and gave us great recommendations for choosing the right beers. A fantastic brewpub that we would surely visit again!

Great Place with very friendly staff. Food was a little disappointing. The Brussels sprouts, while very flavorful, we're almost all detached leaves and very greasy. I had the nashville chicken...a chicken breast sandwich with rather dry tough chicken. Potato salad was very good. The bread pudding was tasty, very dense. Bar drinks were excellent My husbands fish and chips were good.
We were just passing through, but if we had a chance I would return and try other dishes.
