Cool vibe, yummy eats, and friendly staff. We stopped for a drink and appetizer bites and it was a fun stop. Interesting menu items and daily specials.
You have to get the fried green tomatoes. The chef's menu changes to give patrons fresh dishes to dine on.
Quaint little restaurant in downtown Corydon. The Pork Belly General Tsos was amazing and the Shrimp and Grits was sublime. Fried Green Tomatows with pimento cheese was the perfect appetizer and the Old Fashioned was perfect. Topped off the meal with Bread Pudding simply delicious. Seating is limited s9 best to make a reservation
We were able to sit outside and enjoy the evening. Food was well prepared and tasty. We had the fried green tomatoes and Brussel sprouts. They were a big hit! I enjoyed my summer squash salad, my niece really enjoyed the general tso's. Our waiter was very friendly and knowledgeable about the food. Highly recommend for date night or anniversaries.
This has rapidly become a favorite place for fine dining in this rural area. It goes to show that you don't need to drive to a large city in order to experience great flavor and meal texture combinations.
The service is great, the food comes out at the right time, and the atmosphere is elegant enough for the important occasions in life. The food is absolutely inviting with every bite. I had their special of the day, crispy fried pork slices with creamed corn and a spicy jelly on the side.
I'm already looking forward to my next time to eat there.
Out for a drive and stopped at the restraurant. First time in and found it to be a fantastic array of polite conversation with a light menue to please everyone. The burger I had was not to be beat. I will be back.
Thanks Payton

Good farm to table food.
Visited again this evening! The food was delicious and the service was excellent! I love the ambience of the small space but I’m looking forward to more deliciousness in the new space.
we make it to Corydon 1 time a year found 1816 last year food was so good. went again today 2 in the party but having shrimp and Grits. it was so good service was wonderful. Thank you .
If you are on the fence about trying 1816 here’s your sign! We have tried almost everything on the menu and have yet to find something we don’t like! We have our favorites in the general tso’s chicken and the ramen but it’s all so unique and fun with a great atmosphere. Chef Scott and his staff go above and beyond in everything they do!!

The General Tso with pork belly is awesome! The bread pudding is a great finish.

Absolutely amazing food. Make sure that you haven’t eaten for the last few days, the portions are BIG. Try the green tomatoes…
It’s seems to be a good idea to reserve a table…

My wife and I ate lunch on a Saturday. The food tasted great and the service and restroom was very nice also. The only issues we had is the prices are too high - double burger w/ fries and cod with fries and water = $50. Also the indoor seating is too close for comfort.

10/10 The food was so good. The server was so sweet. We were in Louisville for bourbon and beyond and we ate here and stayed in Croydon and it was amazing.
We cannot stop talking about the fried broccoli, goat cheese thing

Ordered dessert to go, and when I got home they had given me their black, burnt peach cobbler that was basically mush inside - totally inedible. Just another restaurant ripping off customers!
