FISTFUL Craft Restaurant & Brewery

I really wanted to love this place. While eating at the establishment across the street my hubby and I googled your menu..we didn't even realize you were in the square. So, I had it in my mind to check your establishment out someday in the near future. My hubby was out of town for an out of state emergency and I went solo with my daughter and three grandchildren and suggested your place. Even though it was a special time, since corydon was having the Halloween parade and lots of food venders in the street. I thought you all would have been busy but to our luck you only had 3 tables being used so we sat in the back near the bar area. Our waitress was nice took our order. While we waited we couldn't help but notice several of the staff..cooks and waitresses in the kitchen horseplaying around which moved into the bar area. Didn't bother me much, but it seemed to delay our food, we had a long long wait. We even noticed they just left our food sitting on the bar area to finish up their personal conversation. As a waitress in my previous years, thats not how you treat your customers. I've never eaten at your food truck or restaurant before so I was looking forward to trying it out. We ordered several meals. My daughter and I enjoyed your Brussel sprouts the most. The kids chicken kids meal was a hit but not the macaroni and cheese. The fries I found to be good with the seasoning (lots of pepper)but the kids found it too spicy. I wish I would have known, I would have ordered them plain. Fish was OK.I've been on a search for really good fish locally and it didn't fit my idea of really good fish..Your restaurant was out of ketchup which I found odd since you serve fries and hamburgers. Not sure I'll be back. My husband doesn't tolerate staff horseplaying around, while we're spending our hard earned money to go out and enjoy each other's company.I spent $78.00 for two fish meals two kids meals and a side of fried pickles and sodas. Yes, I left a tip, waitress was nice.. but I usually tip much higher. I just didn't feel like your staff wanted us there eating tonight. I should have asked for my receipt because I also feel I was over charged while thinking about what we actually bought while writing this review.

*** while budgeting my checkbook I noticed you refunded my bill. I didn't expect to be refunded my money for our bad experience. I just wanted you to be aware of our issues. Thank you though. That speaks volumes of what kind of business you are.. trying to make it right. On that note.. We'll try again in the future to see if it was just a bad day. I really like to support local businesses in our area. I realize your Corydon location is still new. We did find your Brussel sprouts to be very good.

Sorry to say but the food was awful. Husband ordered tacos and 2 bites in and he said no. We all tried them and they were not good. Meat had no flavor and the shells tasted frozen. Whatever cheese sauce/sour cream sauce they put on them tasted spoiled. 2 American burgers and they were obviously frozen with no flavor and so greasy. Shoestring fries were so greasy you couldn’t eat them. Brussel sprouts were so undercooked and greasy that couldn’t eat them, made bun soggy and sticky on the plate. We asked for the check, we paid because it’s the right thing to do BUT man oh man do not waste your time going here…. Not good at all.
