The fish is good. There's no doubt about thar, and the service is nice,,but the prices are outlandish, especially soft drinks for 3.39. There.are still places where you can get two nice,, complete meals for less than what a couple of sandwiches cost there.. A fish sandwich,, a clam dinner and 2 soft drinks were 30 bucks. That is neither reasonable nor sustainable. It's really no wonder the place was pretty much empty.
The menu isn't terribly intuitive. "Small fish" means a fish sandwich with fish all the way filling the bread. It's delicious, moist, not greasy. Extremely yum. Nothing fancy. No lettuce, tomato, onion or pickles. Just fish on bread with tarter. But very good! The onion rings are also delicious and my wife and i could have split a small and not finished them. So, i got a "large fish" (why not include the dang word sandwich to clarify? ) and it was...
The girls working were very nice, knew exactly what was in every meal. Only complaint was hush puppies were kind of bland and onion rings didn't have much better and not very crispy. I will try it again?
