Stepping back in time. An old-fashioned Supper Club experience. When we travel to southern Indiana we always stop here for lunch. the food is terrific and the servers are fast, efficient and friendly. Your meal is served fast and it is pipping hot. They normally have a buffet that always has desirable choices. But it is the dinner rolls. Those are magnificent! BUT they must be eaten hot. I also traveled to Indianapolis for business and stopped by a couple of times on the way home to pick up a couple of fresh strip steaks to cook at home (the butcher departments offering is better than anything we have at home by a WIDE margin) but I was not able to get the rolls to return to their just-out-of-the-oven freshness. But eaten at the restaurant they are ridiculous. The butter melts over the soft and chewy perfectly cooked roll and I dare you not to think of your grandmas Sunday dinner rolls. Looking forward to our next visit.

Place is mid tier and over priced. Steak tasted like it was marinated in sugar and lemon juice. Atmosphere feels like I’m at my grandparents house. If you’re going to charge $40 for a steak it should taste like a $40 steak, not Dennys.Still ate it though because I’m a pig. Good blue cheese though.

We were seated right away, the waitress was SO nice! She checked on us frequently, but not TOO frequently, was perfect. She was so nice! I had the cheeseburger and fries, with cole slaw. Came with fries, slaw was extra. The burger was good, all the "fixins", fries reminded me of a McDonald's cut fry. I know it's a known steakhouse and you should get steak... I know. But I was visiting a friend there and he insisted on paying so I went the cheaper route, didn't want him paying for a $40 steak lol. But I'll be back for that! The NY strip looks amazing! Thanks guys!

Recent visit 4/20/24. Food still good but one of the big draws here was the salad bar. It ended with covid and has never returned i would guess because they realized a cost savings going to prepared salads. Also during my last visit i noticed every recessed light fixture full of cobb webs some even hanging down. Come on now Mr. Wright you can do better. Food is still pretty good and plenty of it, just time to spend some money on the interior especially the restrooms!

The Beef House never disappoints. It's interesting how a place like this can survive in its rual location, but I guess it has been there since 1965. Went for Sunday dinner with my family. Everything was cooked to perfection and the portions were generous. They did have to increase their prices for steaks, but it's not surprising since the last time I went to the meat counter at the grocery store rib-eye was $16.99 a pound. They do have lunch specials throughout the week that are very reasonable for the quantity and quality of food you receive.
Great plaster to beat. You get a pretty decent value for your money. Management has become increasingly more jaded about something. It seems questions are a burden. Wait staff is great.
