Went to Alice's Restaurant today. Food was great, atmosphere great and restaurant full of happy customers. Homemade huge tenderloins, coney dogs good. Husband and wife work together to run smoothly and quickly. Fun experience. Will definitely be back!

Hidden gem in the heart of Crawfordsville... If you’ve never been to this little nook of a restaurant, you’re missing out on one of the best-kept secrets around. It’s a small, cozy spot (maybe a dozen seats or so) but what it lacks in size, it more than makes up for in heart and flavor.
The cook knocks it out of the park every single time! Everything is made fresh to order, and you can taste the love and care in every bite. His wife keeps things running smoothly behind the scenes, handling dishes, ordering, and keeping everything in tip-top shape. Together, they’re the kind of hardworking, down-to-earth couple that make you proud to support small, local businesses!!

We come to Crawfordsville once a year but eat at Alice’s Restaurant at least twice during our stay. Love how fast the food is made in front of you it’s always delicious. We’ve never had anything over or underdone. Perfect every time and served on vintage Corell dishes. ❤️❤️😊

Quirky and fun little spot. I got the tenderloin, and it was great! The inside of the restaurant is small. There is a 10 seater counter inside. During good weather, there is outside seating. The waitress/cook was super nice. This place is definitely a hidden gem.
It was so fun to sit at their charming counter and watch our food be made, from scratch (my tenderloin was breaded in front of me!). Terrific service and conversation, and the food was so delish!! 🩷

Do not sleep on this unique welcoming diner, when we approached, we were a little taken back by the outside eclectic hippie colorful outside exterior, the pictures on google must be a bit older. We went inside and it’s a very traditional diner style and and we were warmly welcomed by the staff. We had the potato soup, beef vegetable soup with grilled cheese. The homemade desserts were to die for. Chocolate pie and Pumpkin Pecan cobbler. The desserts are made in house every day, and the soups are also made in house. The grilled cheese on rye was fantastic. The price was even better. I was able to get a grilled cheese bowl of soup and a drink for under $10. That’s super unheard of. But what’s even better? The food was outstanding. I will be back.
